Oct 25, 2019 8:59 AM

Late in Thursday night's Washington Redskins-Minnesota Vikings game, fans in Minneapolis showered Adrian Peterson with cheers, causing the running back to choke up.

Peterson moved into sixth-place on the NFL's all-time rushing list earlier in the game, a Vikings victory, which was shown on the scoreboards. The announcement led to a prolonged ovation, chants of "AP!" and Peterson twice waving to the crowd.

Peterson spent 10 years with the Vikings, rushing for a franchise-record 11,747 yards and 97 touchdowns.

"I had to hold tears back, to be honest," Peterson said. "It was special, a special moment."

He rushed for 76 yards on 14 carries for the Redskins in defeat.

Stefon Diggs Doesn't Want To Be Traded By Vikings

Oct 6, 2019 8:23 PM

Stefon Diggs said he wants to remain with the Minnesota Vikings despite acknowledging his frustration with his current situation.

"Yeah, I want to be in Minnesota," Diggs said with a wink and a smile.

Diggs was fined more than $200,000 by the Vikings for unexcused absences from meetings and practices on both Monday and Wednesday last week.

"Very steep," he said. "It is accurate, but at the same time, being a part of this team, I should have communicated better. I'm always taking accountability -- that's the kind of man I am. So, at the end of the day, I take accountability. I take everything that comes with it and as far as it being steep, that'll be your conversation."

Oct 4, 2019 11:24 AM

Stefon Diggs hasn't requested a trade from the Minnesota Vikings, but the wide receiver says there is "truth to all rumors."

"I haven't communicated anything," Diggs said. "The conversations I've had [with the Vikings] have only been about the team and trying to have success on the field."

Diggs said he's unsure if his agent asked the Vikings to trade him.

"I haven't spoke to him about it," Diggs said. "You've got to talk to him."

The receiver's target share is down 4% over the first four games from where it was last year.

Kirk Cousins Apologizes To Adam Thielen For Week 4 Misses

Oct 2, 2019 10:15 AM

Kirk Cousins has apologized to Adam Thielen for failing to connect with him during the Minnesota Vikings' Week 4 loss to the Chicago Bears.

Thielen was a guest on Cousins' weekly show "Under Center with Kirk Cousins" that airs on KFAN.

Cousins was asked whether he took offense to the comments the wide reeiver made following the loss about needing to complete deep-ball passes and execute plays in the passing game when the Vikings aren't able to run the ball successfully.

"No, like he said, it's reality," Cousins said. "I really want to apologize to him because there's too many opportunities where we could have hit him on Sunday, and postgame when I talk to the media, I always say until I watch the film, it's hard for me to really give you a straight answer. Well, now it's Tuesday night. I've watched the film. And the reality is there were opportunities for him."
