Adrian Peterson Close To 100 Percent Recovered From Sports Hernia

Jul 15, 2014 7:21 AM

Adrian Peterson practiced on Wednesday just three months after undergoing surgery for a sports hernia.

Peterson feels as though he is close to 100 percent.

"You know, me knowing my body I'd like to be a little stronger in some areas. But I'm feeling great," he told reporters.

Peterson said returning from the sports hernia surgery is much easier than trying to come back from major knee surgery, although he "earned a lot more respect for [his] abdominal muscles."

"It was a cakewalk compared to recovering from the ACL and what I had to go through to bounce back from that," he said.

Foster Remains Most Consistent Fantasy Option Than Peterson

Oct 31, 2014 6:10 AM

Adrian Peterson nearly set the single season rushing record in 2012 and has rushed for 10 or more touchdowns in every season he's been in the NFL, but Arian Foster still remains a viable candidate for best fantasy running back.

Foster had 11 quality starts compared to nine for Peterson, the third straight season in which he has done so. A quality start is a top-10 finish in a given week.

Over the past two seasons, Foster has posted a quality start in 69 percent of games as compared to Peterson’s mark of 46.4 percent.

While Peterson's season totals were outstanding, he was more likely to finish a given week outside of the top-10 at running back than inside it.

Vikings Moving Joe Webb To WR Full Time

Jun 19, 2014 7:59 AM

Joe Webb started a playoff game for the Minnesota Vikings last season in an emergency situation, but he will move full time to wide receiver this season.

"We had been talking about it for a while, and we made the decision that this was the way to go after we had our draft," Leslie Frazier said.

Webb was drafted as a wide receiver in 2010.

"It's going to be very interesting," Webb said about the position switch. "I haven't played it since my rookie minicamp, but I think I can adjust to it pretty good. You just have to put in a lot of work. (Wide receivers) coach Stew (George Stewart) will do a lot of that with me, so we'll see what happens."

Vikings Unveil Designs For New Stadium

Jul 19, 2014 8:02 PM

The Minnesota Vikings unveiled designs for a proposed new stadium that will feature significant amounts of glass in order to simulate the feeling of being outside in an indoor stadium.

The stadium is nearly twice the size of the Metrodome and will seat 65,000 fans for NFL games, but be expandable to 73,000 for special events such as a Super Bowl.

The stadium will not feature a retractable roof, which was one element many fans wanted to see. The architects hope the glass will compensate for it.

Adrian Peterson Vows To Break Dickerson's Record 'With Ease'

Oct 31, 2014 8:32 AM

Adrian Peterson is seeking multiple Super Bowl wins and to obliterate Eric Dickerson's all-time rushing record.

Peterson helped lead the Minnesota Vikings to the playoffs in 2012 with 2,097 yards.

"I've got my bar set for 2,500. If I could go up to that, the record is shattered," Peterson said.

Peterson would have to rush for 156.25 yards over 16 games to hit 2,500 yards for the season.

"It's definitely out there. I feel like it's definitely attainable," Peterson told the NFL Network. "... Enjoy this last year because the record's going down, with ease."
