Vikings Won't Trade Percy Harvin

The Minnesota Vikings won't trade Percy Harvin this offseason.

"Percy Harvin is under contract and we expect him, just like all of our players under contract, to be here," general manager Rick Spielman said.

Harvin has been seeking a new contract from the Vikings and may holdout.

Frazier Agrees To Multi-Year Extension With Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings and Leslie Frazier have agreed upon a multi-year contract extension.

Frazier took over as head coach of the Vikings with six games remaining in the 2010 season.

Frazier was entering the final season of his deal.

Peterson Wants Vikings To Keep Harvin

Percy Harvin is looking for a new contract and the Minnesota Vikings may ultimately trade him.

But Adrian Peterson wants the Vikings to retain the team's second best offensive threat.

"To be honest with you, I don't know if we will or not," said Peterson. "But me, individually, and giving you my opinion, I wouldn't trade him for nothing.

"To do the the things that he's able to do, I don't think there will be a player able to do it better than him. Ever."

Rams Interview Mike Singletary For Defensive Coordinator Job

The St. Louis Rams have interviewed Mike Singletary for their defensive coordinator vacancy.

Dick Jauron has also interviewed for the position.

Rob Ryan and the Rams appeared to have a deal in place, but ultimately couldn't agree on terms.

Singletary has been an assistant coach with the Vikings over the past two seasons.

Adrian Peterson Undergoes Sports Hernia Surgery

Adrian Peterson underwent surgery on Thursday for a sports hernia.

Peterson was on the Minnesota Vikings' injury report with the issue throughout December.

Peterson had offseason surgery last year for his torn ACL.

Peterson Named MVP, Offensive POY

Adrian Peterson has been named the NFL's Most Valuable Player and Offensive Player of the Year, beating out Peyton Manning for both awards.

"My career could have easily been over, just like that," Peterson said. "Oh man. The things I've been through throughout my lifetime has made me mentally tough.

"I'm kind of speechless. This is amazing." 

Peterson is the first running back to win the award since LaDainian Tomlinson in 2006.
