Jackson Replaced Injured Frerotte For Vikings
Tarvaris Jackson replaced injured quarterback Gus Frerotte in Minnesota's loss to Tennessee on Sunday.
Frerotte hurt his hand late in the fourth quarter, forcing Coach Brad Childress to play Jackson, whom he benched in favor of Frerotte heading into Week Three.
Jackson completed his first pass to Bobby Wade, but the Titans sacked him on the next two plays.
Titans Linebacker Calls Peterson A 'Challenge'
Titans linebacker Stephen Tulloch has faced some tough running backs in his career, but calls facing Minnesota's Adrian Peterson this weekend a stiff challenge.
"It is definitely a big challenge," Tulloch said Friday. "But this is what I play the game for and I love the excitement of playing against big-time players. The defense, as well as myself, is excited about the challenge."
Vikings' Allen: My Mullet Gives Me Strength
Minnesota defensive end Jared Allen claims that his mullet gives him strength on the field, according to Pioneer Press.
"The mullet is like the All-American haircut," Allen said. "It's basically my secret strength. God gave me my talent. But the mullet gives me the attitude to use my talent."
Allen has eight tackles and two sacks through Minnesota's first three games.
Peterson Will Be A Game-Time Decision
Vikings' running back Adrian Peterson will be a game-time decision in today's game against the Panthers, according to the Pioneer Press.
Peterson was limited in practice Friday because of a hamstring injury he suffered last Sunday. He is officially listed as questionable.
"He'll treat here for the next 48 hours, and we'll look at (it) before the game," Coach Brad Childress said Friday.
"I mean, you listen to the player, but sometimes you have to protect the player from himself and err on the side of caution," Childress added.

Frerotte Named Minnesota's QB For Remainder Of 2008
Vikings' head coach Brad Childress named Gus Frerotte the starter for the remainder of the season, announcing the decision at his Wednesday media availability.
Tarvaris Jackson is 14th amongst quarterbacks in FIC, but that was largely due to his abilities as a runner and he has a QB rating of 70.8.
Colts Owner: 'Urgent' Need For New Stadium In Minnesota
Colts' owner Jim Irsay believes that the Vikings are in dire need of a new stadium, according to Pioneer Press.
"I think the key thing is, it is urgent," Irsay said of Minnesota's need for a new stadium. "They simply can't remain in this facility. It's not possible."
Vikings' co-owner Lenny Wilf and several team vice presidents visited Indianapolis late last week to tour the Colts' new stadium and came away impressed.
"They did a nice job with the stadium," Wilf said of Lucas Oil Stadium.
"The state does need a big indoor facility," Wilf added. "The Metrodome has served the state well during its time. But it is not a 21st century facility."
RealGM's Top-10 Fantasy Starters For Week Two
Prior to last week's action we touched on how hard it is to predict each week's top individual performers, and boy did Week One highlight just how true that really is.
Who could have predicted that Michael Turner, Willie Parker, Eddie Royal and DeSean Jackson would have burst out like they did last week?
Parker has already surpassed his touchdown mark from 2007, Turner was far more productive than former teammate LaDainian Tomlinson and both Royal and Jackson (rookie wide receivers) had the opposing defense guessing all game long.
Last week we told you to start Tom Brady, despite concerns over his "foot injury", and we all know how that turned out. Just like Brady's knee injury turned the AFC upside down, I'm sure one owner (hopefully not you) is still in a state of shock following Sunday's events.
Each week RealGM will rank the top ten players at each position, with prior performance and weekly match-ups taken into consideration.
The first rule of fantasy football is always to start your studs, but you can never over-prepare, either.

Vikes' Jackson Still 'Very Confident'
Vikings' quarterback Tarvaris Jackson is reportedly still 'very confident' after losing to the Packers to begin the season on Monday night, according to Pioneer Press.
"He's doing fine," Childress said Wednesday. "It's not like he's on a suicide watch or anything like that. He's making those corrections and moving on, just like all of us are."
Heading into the season, Jackson was the lone question mark on what many considered to be a dark horse pick in the NFC.
"I felt comfortable throughout the game," Jackson said. "Different circumstances make things a little difficult at times because those guys (on defense) are out there playing hard as well. I saw things good, clear. There's just some mechanical things you've got to tune up a little bit."
"I'm still very confident in what we're doing here, what we're doing as an offense and what I'm doing. It's not a change. We've got 15 more games, and probably more, so I'm just looking forward to this one."
Daunte Culpepper Retires
Daunte Culpepper, who starred for the Vikings before a knee injury in 2005 curtailed his career, retired from the NFL on Thursday, according to an Associated Press report.
He tried to resuscitate his career with the Dolphins in 2006 and the Raiders last season, struggling in both of those stops and wasn?t in training camp with any teams this year.
?Since I was not given a fair chance to come in and compete for a job, I would rather move on and win in other arenas of life,? Culpepper said.
Jackson Claims He's Ready For Vikes' Opener
Minnesota quarterback Tarvaris Jackson says that his injured knee isn't one-hundred percent, but it's not bad enough to keep him off the team's season opener on Monday.
