Vikings Resistant To Los Angeles Move?
A Vikings' executive said Thursday that owner Zygi Wilf has turned down overtures from billionaire real estate developer Ed Roski Jr. to discuss moving the team to Los Angeles.
"They have knocked on our door, but we have declined," said Lester Bagley, Vikings vice president of public affairs and stadium development. "We have not had a meeting or discussion with Roski. All of our updates have come through the league. Our intention is to resolve the issue in Minnesota, but clearly they are out proactively seeking a team and they are the ones that listed the seven teams."
Roski's business partner John Semcken told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune this week that seven franchises have expressed interest in coming to Roski's stadium, but Semcken would not name them.
In April, Roske listed the Vikings -- along with the Saints, Bills, Jaguars, Chargers, Raiders, and 49ers -- as one of seven teams that might move to L.A.

Vikings' quarterback Tarvaris Jackson suffered a sprained medial collateral knee ligament on Saturday night, according to ESPN.com's John Clayton.
The injury could keep Jackson out of the team's preseason game against the Steelers next weekend, but the injury isn't considered serious enough to sideline him for a long period of time.
It's possible Coach Brad Childress could keep Jackson out of the Vikings' final two preseason games to ensure he's healthy for their regular-season opener against the Packers.
Childress Not 'Concerned' About Jackson's Knee
Vikings' Coach Brad Childress isn't "concerned" about the knee of quarterback Tavaris Jackson, which was bruised in the team's game against the Ravens on Saturday night, according to NFL.com.
Jackson left in the first quarter of Minnesota's 23-15 win over Baltimore.
"He just banged his knee," Childress said. "We're calling it a contusion right now. ... I'm not concerned."
Peterson Takes Blame For Poor Finish
Over the final four weeks of the season Adrian Peterson had trouble generating much offense, gaining a total of 144 yards on 54 carries over four games, including only 3 yards on 14 carries against San Francisco.
"I studied the film and I was always amazed on a lot of plays, it was really me," Peterson said. "It wasn't the offensive line not getting a block or anything like that, or anything they were doing really. It was really me kind of hurting myself."
After watching the film, Peterson concluded he simply needed to be more patient and be in sync with the offensive line.
"I was able to take a lot from those tapes," he said. "Just being more patient and learning to play up the gut more."

Newly acquired Jets quarterback Brett Favre has admitted that he initially preferred to play for the Vikings, according to The Los Angeles Times.
"Maybe that was vindictive, competitive," Favre said of wanting to play for Green Bay's main rival. "In the end, that was probably the wrong motive."
Pennington A Fit With Vikings Or Chiefs?
Recently-released quarterback Chad Pennington could fit in well with the Vikings or Chiefs, according to The New York Daily News.
Pennington could reunite with former Jets' coach Herm Edwards in Kansas City or fit well into the west coast offense in Minnesota.
"In this business you can never rest, because they'll replace you in a heartbeat," he said recently.
Jets Release Pennington
Chad Pennington quickly became the odd man out once Brett Favre joined the Jets on Wednesday.

Vikings Contacted About Favre
An executive in personnel for the NFL with close ties to the NFC North division claims that the Packers have called the Vikings to inform them that Brett Favre is available, according to The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel.
"They?ve kind of said through one of their (front-office) guys that if Favre did report they would potentially trade him within the division," the executive said Sunday afternoon.
Favre arrived in Green Bay on Sunday, and was expected to report to training camp on Monday and possibly begin practicing with the team on Tuesday.
