Dolphins Send Dan Marino To Scout QBs At Senior Bowl

Jan 22, 2019 8:31 AM

The Miami Dolphins don't have much of a coaching staff to send to Senior Bowl practices this week, but they have sent a contingent nonetheless.

Dan Marino is among those the Dolphins have sent to look at quarterbacks, including Missouri's Drew Lock.

"I was shaking everybody's hand, and then was like, 'Who's that? Oh my god, that's Dan Marino,'" Lock said. "When I'm sitting in the chair, he's back here [behind me] when I'm answering questions. You feel it. You really feel a presence in the room."

Marino doesn't have a clear title within the Dolphins' front office.

While the Baltimore Ravens announced John Harbaugh will return to the team next season, there could still be teams interested in pursuing him.

According to a source, it is believed the Miami Dolphins will still formally make a call to the Ravens on Harbaugh's availability.

The Ravens play in the first round of the playoffs on Sunday, which could be a determining factor on whether they would be more willing to let him leave.

Stephen Ross pursued Jim Harbaugh in the past.
