Todd Gurley: It Can't Get Any Worse Than Last Year

Jul 12, 2017 7:53 PM

Todd Gurley is optimistic that next season will be better than the last for the Los Angeles Rams.

Gurley likes the offense under new head coach Sean McVay as well as the growth of Jared Goff.

"Oh, he's been getting better," Gurley said. "Obviously, he didn't go No. 1 for no reason. He has the talent, and he's just been getting better. He definitely had a great OTAs, great minicamp. Coaches have been doing a good job with him. Just his preparation, him being there all day, he's been great so far, man, so I'm definitely looking forward to it ... It can't get any worse than it did last year."

Gurley rushed for 1,106 yards and 10 touchdowns (4.8 YPC) as a rookie, but was limited to 885 yards and six scores (3.2 YPC) in 2016.

Todd Gurley Encouraged By Sean McVay's Offense

Jul 9, 2017 4:31 PM

Todd Gurley has been encouraged by what he's seen so far from Sean McVay's offense.

Gurley averaged 3.2 yards per carry last season as he ran behind an ineffective offensive line.

Gurley added that he has "definitely been loving" McVay's style of offense, which for now has the back focusing on daily preparation and being a "situational master."

During minicamp, the Rams were moving Gurley all around the offensive formation.
