The Chiefs agreed to a contract with free-agent wide receiver Steve Breaston on Wednesday.
Breaston is reunited with Kansas City coach Todd Haley, who as Arizona's offensive coordinator coached Breaston for the first two seasons of his NFL career.
The Chiefs were 30th in passing yards a year ago, but Breaston and this year's first-round draft pick, Jonathan Baldwin, should help quarterback Matt Cassel improve the attack.

Kansas City's Wiegmann Wants To Play In 2011
Chiefs veteran center Casey Wiegmann wants to play in 2011.
Wiegmann had been considering retirement, but his agent is now saying that the center wants to play if a contract can be worked out with Kansas City.
Agent Joe Linta said Wiegmann, who will turn 38 Wednesday, is in the best shape he's been in years. He will be entering his 16th NFL season.
Punter: Haley Believes McDaniels Was Cheating
Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt says that Kansas City head coach Todd Haley believes then-Denver head coach Josh McDaniels was cheating.
Last season, after the Broncos beat the Chiefs, Haley's post-game handshake with McDaniels was replaced with a pointed index finger.
"I don't know if I can answer that within the locker room, but I know that it has something to do with the Spygate, the videotaping," Colquitt said. "All the stuff like that. And I think that Haley was like, 'Listen, based on that game I can tell what you are doing, and you are cheating.'
"I think it was just a culmination of rumors and [McDaniels] had been involved in that in New England possibly before, and so Todd was just kind of saying, 'Look, with the game plan we had and what you guys already knew we were gonna do, this is' ... basically saying it was "bush, bush league.'"
