"It?s a possibility, but it?s not like it?s our main objective," Edwards said. The Chiefs have Brodie Croyle, David Greene, Damon Huard, and Thigpen under contract.

Recently-released quarterback Chad Pennington could fit in well with the Vikings or Chiefs, according to The New York Daily News. Pennington could reunite with former Jets' coach Herm Edwards in Kansas City or fit well into the west coast offense in Minnesota. Rookie defensive tackle Glenn Dorsey injured his left knee during the Chiefs annual Family Fun Night practice on Saturday, according to The Kansas City Star. Dorsey was the team's first-round pick in April's draft, and figured to be the centerpiece of their rebuilding efforts. "He?s probably going to be week to week," coach Herm Edwards said. "They won?t know until they do all of the MRIs and all of that. They?ll find out what?s going on. But I don?t think it?s serious." Dorsey injured himself during a running play midway through the practice. He walked off the field without assistance.
