Aaron Rodgers Would 'Love To Play To 40' With Packers

Jul 16, 2018 9:58 AM

Aaron Rodgers, who turns 35 in December, hopes to play with the Green Bay Packers through his 40th birthday.

"I'd love to play to 40," Rodgers told Peter King. "I just think that number means a lot. Obviously, Tom [Brady] is kind of rewriting the book. Brett [Favre] had a good season when he turned 40. My goal is be able to move like I do or close to how I do and still be able to do that at 40 ... just because nobody's been able to do that and still move around the same. Steve Young's career was cut short in his late thirties. John [Elway], the same-he didn't really move the same as when he was younger. So to be able to move the same way at 38, 39, 40 would be cool. That's my aim."

Rodgers has two years left on his contract and the Packers have the leverage of two franchise tag years.

Tony Romo Predicts Packers-Jaguars In SB LIII

Jul 12, 2018 8:58 AM

Tony Romo was asked to predict who will face off in Super Bowl LIII during an appearance on the NFL Network this week.

"If I had to pick right now? It's pretty early," Romo said. "Thing about the NFL is things change pretty fast. Injuries happen, a lot of stuff happens, but, um... if I was picking right now, I'd probably go with Green Bay versus Jacksonville. That would be a tentative, rough guess here in the summer months."

Romo retired after the 2016 season and had a very successful first season as a broadcaster for CBS.

Packers' Aaron Jones Suspended Two Games

Jul 5, 2018 10:12 AM

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones has been suspended two games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.

Jones pleaded no contest to a marijuana-related charge in February. The charge was a result of an Oct. 1 traffic stop.

He entered a no-contest plea to the citation for driving with a controlled substance in his system in exchange for dismissal of tickets for speeding and operating without a license.

Jones was Green Bay's second-leading rusher in his rookie season with 448 yards and four touchdowns.
