Randall Cobb: Aaron Rodgers 'Ready To Light Everybody Up'

Nov 30, 2018 8:27 AM

Randall Cobb is ready to return to the Green Bay Packers after missing six of the team's last eight games due to a hamstring injury.

Cobb has also heard all of the criticism heaped on Aaron Rodgers this year and is ready to watch the quarterback go to work.

"I'm excited to get back out there because I know with all the noise that's been said over the past week about him [Rodgers], he's getting ready to light everybody up this week," Cobb said. "It's going to be a lot of fun and I look forward to helping him out."

Aaron Rodgers Plots Green Bay's Longshot Path To Playoffs

Nov 26, 2018 9:07 AM

Aaron Rodgers isn't giving up on the Green Bay Packers reaching the playoffs this season.

"You can crunch the numbers there," Rodgers said. "I can tell you 8-7-1 won't get in, though. I don't think.

"We are where we're at right now record-wise. We're going to need some help from some teams and then we've got to take care of our own business, you know? We're going to have to find a way to win a game on the road. We're 0-6 on the road. So we just got to go back home, get some rest, beat Arizona ... and then come back and beat Atlanta ... then go to Chicago, a place we've won a number of times, beat them ... go to New York around Christmas, beat them ...and then come home against Detroit, beat them. Get a little help."

Rodgers also said that his performance has to be better.

"I know I've got to play better," he said. "But I will. And we'll put ourselves in position."

Aaron Rodgers Donates $1M To California Fires

Nov 21, 2018 11:53 AM

Aaron Rodgers is donating $1 million to the fires in California.

"In Northern California, where I was born and raised, the city of Paradise burned to the ground, and many of the residents who got out are now displaced to my hometown of Chico and across the north state," Rodgers said in a video posted on his Twitter account. I personally reached out to my friends and the mayor of Chico to find out how to be of the most help. And raising money for both immediate needs and the long-term recovery is what is needed most right now."

State Farm will donate $1 up to $1 million for every retweet of his post through this Sunday using the hashtag #retweet4good.

"I've been on the phone with a lot of folks close to me in northern California and in southern California," Rodgers said on Nov. 11. "I had the fortune to meet some great firefighters from Santa Monica in the offseason. They sent me this hat, and I was thinking in my house today, this was the only paraphernalia I had that could represent my support for those folks who are fighting the fires. My heart goes out to the great people of Paradise, California.

"Growing up in Chico, I spent a great deal of time up there, I played a lot of football and basketball and sports up in Paradise, basically lived in Magalia at one point, which is an even tinier town off of Paradise. The devastation there, is tough. Hearing the stories of people running down the highways to avoid the fire. Knowing that people burned alive in their cars. It's heartbreaking, for sure, and then you have a fire in my adopted home of southern California, so it's been a tough week for sure, and myself and the guys from northern California, our thoughts and our prayers are with those folks. Not only the great firefighters fighting the fire, but all the people displaced. In my home area, Butte County, and then obviously down south in the L.A. area."

Aaron Rodgers Waiting For 'Galvanizing Moment' For Packers

Nov 16, 2018 10:00 AM

The Green Bay Packers are fading out of the playoff picture at 4-5-1, but Aaron Rodgers still has hope.

When asked if the season was a lost cause after Thursday night's loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Rodgers took exception.

"Come on, what kind of question is that?" Rodgers said. "I don't even know how to answer that. What am I supposed to say? Of course there's hope. Of course we believe in each other. It's just going to take one galvanizing moment. Whether that's a speech or a practice, or something happens in a game — something's got to get this thing going. I thought we had moments tonight and I thought that's where we were going. Defense — a lot of injuries. Offensively, we lost Jimmy [Graham], but guys battled, so nobody gave up hope. We just didn't play well enough to win."
