Aaron Rodgers' Brother Jordan Could Be Late Round Pick

Jun 2, 2014 5:07 PM

Jordan Rodgers, younger brother of Aaron Rodgers, started at quarterback for Vanderbilt over the past season and a half.

Jordan Rodgers is smaller than Aaron Rodgers, which is likely the most noticeable difference between the two.

“He’s got his brother’s brain,” said an NFL scout who thinks Jordan Rodgers eventually could become a team’s No. 2. “He’s got some physical (tools) – he’s a good looking kid, but he just doesn’t have the arm strength Aaron has.”

Like his older brother, Jordan Rodgers attended Butte Junior College before transfering to Vanderbilt.

Favre Was Knocked Out On Final NFL Play

Oct 31, 2014 4:26 PM

Brett Favre says the sack that ended his NFL career was the first time he was knocked out cold on a football field.

The Minnesota Vikings were playing the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football and the quarterback had trouble remembering what team he was on.

"My last play, actually the only time in my career when I was completely out. Ten to 15 seconds," Favre said. "Miserable night, the dome had collapsed, our season had gone from bad to worse. I didn't have to play in the game, wanted to. I remember telling myself in pregame, 'You're an idiot. What do you stand to gain in this?' But I thought, 'I'll survive this game, I'll be fine.'

"(It was) one of the most minor hits I've ever (taken). The guy didn't even hit me, he pushed me. I threw the ball, and the field of course was solid ice, it was like concrete. He pushed me, I slip, fall, nothing hurt, I hit the left side of my head, and the next thing I remember, I was snoring as our trainer is kind of shaking me, saying, 'Are you OK?' I look at the footage, even though it wasn't long, there was that 10-, 15-second period where I was asleep.

"I remember looking at our trainer, Suge (Eric Sugarman), and saying, 'Suge, what are the Bears doing here?' He's like, 'Ah, you come over here with me, buddy.' As I started figuring it out as I was getting to the sidelines, I thought, 'Now, if there was ever a time where the writing is on the wall, this is it.'"

Hawk: Rodgers 'Going To Get A Billion Dollars'

Jul 19, 2014 1:01 PM

Green Bay Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk believes that teammate Aaron Rodgers will deserve every penny he gets in his new contract.

"Let's be honest, all of us minions have nothing that we can offer Aaron that would even come close to anything that he would get," Hawk told the NFL Network.

"He deserves every dime he's going to get. He's going to get a billion dollars, probably, so I'm OK with anything they want to give him, because he's one of the best in the world and he deserves everything."

Hawk, who took a pay cut of more than $7 million this offseason to remain in Green Bay, made his comments with Rodgers and the Packers moving towards a new long-term deal.

Jermichael Finley Modeling Himself After Gonzalez

Jun 19, 2014 6:47 AM

Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley looks up to counterpart Tony Gonzalez.

"The tight end I would like to mimic is (Tony) Gonzalez. He's consistent," Finley said on KFAN-FM Wednesday. "That's where I would like to take my game."

Gonzalez will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer when he retires as the No. 1 tight end to play in the NFL.

Finley has all the physical tools, but inconsistency has been the issue.

Woodson: Teams Think I'm Too Old

May 18, 2014 5:33 AM

Charles Woodson is unemployed six weeks after the Green Bay Packers cut him.

"I'm 36, so of course I'm considered ancient in the game right now, and teams are looking for younger players and trying to make their rosters younger," the defensive back said.

"If you're an older guy, they kind of push you to the side, and they'll maybe look at you much later on down the road, when I guess they figure they can get you much cheaper."

Woodson says his camp has put out word that he's interested in finding a new team, but so far that interest hasn't been reciprocated.
