The state of Wisconsin is calling for political candidates to observe three hours of campaigning silence on Sunday while the Packers face off against the Jets. There will be no phone calls or door knocks. Instead they plan to attend tailgate parties with fans or relax with their staffs.

Week 7 was the week of the wide receiver with Roddy White, Lee Evans and Kenny Britt all exploding. Atlanta 39, Cincinnati 32 Trench Counter: Falcons -1, Bengals +1 The Atlanta Falcons (5-2) jumped out to an early lead and held off a late charge by the Cincinnati Bengals (2-4) at the Georgia Dome. Matt Ryan went 24-for-33 with 299 yards, three touchdowns and an interception. Michael Turner rushed 23 times for 121 yards and two touchdowns, but wide receiver Roddy White stole the show. He had 11 catches for 201 yards and two scores. Atlanta sacked Carson Palmer three times and forced two fumbles. Carson Palmer had 412 yards and three touchdowns, but Cincinnati wasn?t able to keep up with Atlanta?s offense. Cedric Benson had 70 yards but lost a fumble and Bernard Scott tallied 14 yards on a single carry. Palmer?s yardage total yielded several offensive stars including ? Jordan Shipley (six catches for 131 yards and a touchdown), Chad Ochocinco (10 receptions for 108 yards and a score) and Terrell Owens (nine grabs for 88 yards and a touchdown). Baltimore 37, Buffalo 34 (OT) Trench Counter: Ravens +7.3, Bills -7.3 Billy Cundiff hit a 38-yard field goal in overtime to give the Baltimore Ravens (5-2) a dramatic win over the Buffalo Bills (0-6). Joe Flacco went 16-for-31 with 250 yards and three touchdowns in the come-from-behind victory. Ray Rice (72 yards) and Willis McGahee (64 yards and a touchdown) excelled on the ground as Baltimore scored 31 points over the second and third quarters. Anquan Boldin led the Ravens in receiving with six receptions for 92 yards and a touchdown. Ryan Fitzpatrick went 29-for-43 with 374 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions as Buffalo coughed up a chance to record their first victory of the season. Fred Jackson had 73 yards on 23 rushing attempts, while C.J. Spiller added 33 yards on seven carries. Steven Johnson exploded for 158 yards and a touchdown on eight receptions, but Lee Evans stole the show with six catches for 105 yards and three scores. Carolina 23, San Francisco 20 Trench Counter: Panthers +1.9, 49ers -1.9 John Kasay gave the Carolina Panthers (1-5) their first win of the season with a 37-yard field goal in the final minute against the San Francisco 49ers (1-6). Matt Moore went 28-for-41 with 308 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart combined to rush for 72 yards on 33 carries. Panthers wide receiver David Gettis was the team?s offensive star, catching eight passes for 125 yards and two touchdowns. Alex Smith went 9-for-19 with 129 yards and a touchdown before he suffered a shoulder injury and was replaced by David Carr (67 yards and an interception). Frank Gore led San Francisco with 102 yards on 19 attempts, while Vernon Davis topped the team in receiving with four catches for 74 yards and a touchdown at Bank of America Stadium. Washington 17, Chicago 14 Trench Counter: Redskins +4, Bears -4 The Washington Redskins (4-3) shutout the Chicago Bears (4-3) in the second half to record an impressive road win at Solider Field. Donovan McNabb had 200 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions and Ryan Torain led his team on the ground with 125 yards on 21 carries. Santana Moss was on the receiving end of McNabb?s touchdown, a 24-yard connection in the first quarter. DeAngelo Hall intercepted Chicago?s Jay Cutler four times. Cutler went 26-for-40 with 281 yards, a touchdown and the four aforementioned three times for 20 yards. Johnny Knox was Chicago?s leading receiver with six receptions for 86 yards and a touchdown. Cutler and Forte also lost fumbles in the loss. Kansas City 42, Jacksonville 20 Trench Counter: Chiefs +17.8, Jaguars -17.8 The Kansas City Chiefs (4-2) scored 28 points in the second half to charge back and defeat the struggling Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4). Matt Cassel went 13-for-18 with 193 yards and two touchdowns. Thomas Jones (125 yards and a score) and Jamaal Charles (71 yards and a score) dominated on the ground for Kansas City. Dwayne Bowe displayed good chemistry with Cassel, catching three passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. Todd Bouman, starting for the injury-riddled Jaguars, had 222 yards, two touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. Mike Sims-Walker had three catches for 38 yards and a score, while Maurice Jones-Drew rushed 16 times for 47 yards and grabbed five passes for 74 yards and a trip to the end zone. The two clubs combined for just two sacks. Pittsburgh 23, Miami 22 Trench Counter: Steelers +2.3, Dolphins -2.3 The Pittsburgh Steelers (5-1) narrowly edged the Miami Dolphins (3-3) in a hotly contested game at Sun Life Stadium. Ben Roethlisberger went 19-for-27 with 302 yards and two touchdowns in just his second start of the season. Rashard Mendenhall was held to just 37 yards on 15 carries by Miami?s defense as Pittsburgh attempted to showcase a balanced offense. Hines Ward led all receivers with seven catches for 131 yards and a touchdown. Chad Henne had 257 yards and one touchdown on 23-for-36 passing. The combination of Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown were limited as well, combining for only 62 yards on 20 attempts. Davone Bess (six catches for 66 yards and a score), Brian Hartline and Brandon Marshall (both with five receptions for 57 yards) were Henne?s top targets. Cleveland 30, New Orleans 17 Trench Counter: Browns +10.9, Saints -10.9 The Cleveland Browns (2-5) earned the ?Upset of the Week? with their victory over the New Orleans Saints (4-3) at the Louisiana Superdome. Colt McCoy was just 9-for-16 with 74 yards, but Cleveland?s defense picked up the offensive slack. David Bowens returned a pair of interceptions (30 and 64 yards) for touchdowns to account for nearly half of his team?s point total. Peyton Hillis had 16 rushes for 69 yards and a score and Reggie Hodges galloped 68 yards on a single carry. Drew Brees struggled, going 37-for-56 with 356 yards, two touchdowns and four interceptions. Chris Ivory got the bulk of the carries for New Orleans again, but he was only able to gain 48 yards on 15 touches. Marques Colston led the Saints with 10 catches for 112 yards and score. David Thomas, the recipient of Brees? other touchdown, had three catches for 33 yards. Brees spread his 37 completions among nine different receivers. Tampa Bay 18, St. Louis 17 Trench Counter: Buccaneers +1.6, Rams -1.6 Cadillac Williams caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Josh Freeman with 10 seconds left to push the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2) to a win over the St. Louis Rams (3-4) on Sunday afternoon. Freeman had 212 yards to go with his lone scoring strike and added 40 yards on five scrambles. LeGarrette Blount rushed 11 times for 72 yards and Mike Williams led the Buccaneers in receiving with five catches for 82 yards. Sam Bradford tallied 126 yards and two touchdowns on 13-for-26 passing in the loss. Steven Jackson was sharp as always, rushing 22 times for 110 yards and also leading St. Louis in receiving with 35 yards on two receptions. Danny Amendola (two catches for 29 yards) and Michael Hoomanawanui (two grabs for 12 yards) were on the receiving end of Bradford?s touchdowns. The Rams scored all 17 of their points in the second quarter. Tennessee 37, Philadelphia 19 Trench Counter: Titans +10.4, Eagles -10.4 The Tennessee Titans (5-2) scored 27 points in the fourth quarter as they recorded a comeback victory over the Philadelphia Eagles (4-3). Kerry Collins went 17-for-31 with 276 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions. Philadelphia limited Chris Johnson to 66 yards, but they cost themselves dearly with turnovers. Kenny Britt caught seven passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns just days after being involved in a bar fight. Kevin Kolb struggled, going 26-for-48 with 231 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. LeSean McCoy led the Eagles in rushing with 48 yards on 16 carries. Jason Avant (60 yards on six catches), McCoy (six receptions for 54 yards), Riley Cooper (51 yards and a touchdown) and Jeremy Maclin (42 yards) were Kolb?s top targets. Seattle 22, Arizona 10 Trench Counter: Seahawks +3.2, Cardinals -3.2 The Seattle Seahawks (4-2) used a strong defensive performance to top the Arizona Cardinals (3-3) at Qwest Field. Matt Hasselbeck had 192 yards and a touchdown, while his running backs excelled on the ground. Marshawn Lynch (89 yards) and Justin Forsett (41) helped put the game away in the second half. Mike Williams had a game-high 11 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. Olindo Mare drilled five field goals. Arizona rookie Max Hall was knocked out of the game after a hit to the head as was replaced by Derek Anderson. The duo combined for 132 passing yards and an interception. Tim Hightower (59 yards) and Beanie Wells (54 yards and a touchdown) were really the Cardinals? only offensive stars. Oakland 59, Denver 14 Trench Counter: Raiders +23.9, Broncos -23.9 The Oakland Raiders (3-4) scored a team-record 59 points in their thrashing of the Denver Broncos (2-5). Jason Campbell went 12-for-20 with 204 yards and two touchdowns. However, Oakland did most of their damage on the ground. Darren McFadden rushed for 165 yards and three touchdowns, Michael Bush added 52 yards and a score and Marcel Reece tallied 39 yards and a touchdown. Zach Miller and McFadden caught Campbell?s touchdown strikes. Kyle Orton had 198 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Knowshon Moreno had a team-high 53 yards and caught three passes for 37 yards and two touchdowns. Oakland sacked Orton four times forced four fumbles, including two that were lost. New England 23, San Diego 20 Trench Counter: Patriots +3.4, Chargers -3.4 The San Diego Chargers (2-5) scored 17 points in the fourth quarter but they couldn?t complete a comeback against the New England Patriots (5-1) at Qualcomm Stadium. Tom Brady went 19-for-32 with 159 yards and a touchdown. Danny Woodhead and BenJarvus Green-Ellis combined for 48 yards and a touchdown. Tight ends Aaron Hernandez led the team with five catches for 54 yards and Rob Gronkowski caught two passes, including Brady?s only touchdown. Philip Rivers went 34-for-50 with 336 yards, one touchdowns and an interception. The Chargers were severely limited on the ground, with Ryan Mathews, Darren Sproles and Mike Tolbert combining for 27 yards on 12 carries. Patrick Crayton led San Diego with seven catches for 82 yards, while Antonio Gates was on the receiving end of a four-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Green Bay 28, Minnesota 24 Trench Counter: Packers +3.2, Vikings -3.2 Brett Favre threw three costly interceptions as the Minnesota Vikings (2-4) lost to the Green Bay Packers (4-3) at Lambeau Field. Aaron Rodgers went 21-for-34 with 295 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions. Brandon Jackson led the Packers in rushing with 58 yards and a touchdown on 13 carries. James Jones led the team with four catches for 107 yards, while Greg Jennings (74 yards and a touchdown) excelled as well. Favre went 16-for-29 with 212 yards, a touchdown and the three aforementioned interceptions. Adrian Peterson had 131 yards and a score on 28 carries, while Percy Harvin was a multipurpose threat. Harvin rushed three times for 41 yards and a score and also grabbed five receptions for 65 yards. Randy Moss caught three passes for 30 yards and Favre?s only touchdown.

Aaron Rodgers is 1-11 in games decided by four points or less, most recently a pair of overtime losses this month. Rodgers said Wednesday that he didn't see any common threads through those 11 losses and noted that close games aren't always decided in the final minutes. "These games come down to really a handful of plays," Rodgers said, "a small handful of plays that don't always happen at the end of games. Sometimes they happen in the first quarter, the second quarter, the first possession of the second half. ... "If I had done my job better on a play maybe in the red zone in the first quarter and gotten seven [points] instead of three, it's a different game."

The Packers have placed tight end Jermichael Finley on the injured reserve, ending his season following a knee injury. Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy says having Finley sit out the rest of the season is in the player's best interest. Finley hurt his right knee in the Packers' loss at Washington Oct. 10 and had surgery last week.

The Packers acquired safety Anthony Smith in a trade with the Jaguars on Sunday, a person with knowledge of the deal told The Associated Press. The person, who requested anonymity because the deal has not been announced, said the Jaguars will receive a conditional seventh-round draft pick in exchange for Smith. The deal was reported by ESPN earlier Sunday night.

The Packers lost top running back Ryan Grant in Week 1, but coach Mike McCarthy is adamant that the team hasn't given up on the running game. Green Bay has passed 61.3% of the time this season. "If you want to get into a philosophical discussion, I have zero interest in the way some people are trying to make this, we're just a passing team," McCarthy said. "That's not true. Judge me after 10 weeks. Judge me after 16. We're not a seven-on-seven team by no means, we never will be."

Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings has just 14 catches for 183 yards through the season's first five weeks, something the team is looking to change. Jennings signed a four-year, $26.885 million contract in June 2009. "We're certainly aware of his ability and his playmaking skill," said offensive coordinator Joe Philbin. "We need to get him the football. "He's not a distant thought in our progression or in our game planning ideas." Jennings caught 80 passes for 1,292 yards in 2008, and added 1,113 receiving yards last year.

Aaron Rodgers returned to practice on Thursday, a sign of progress in his recovery from a concussion. Rodgers participated in the entire portion of Thursday's practice that was open to the media. According to NFL guidelines for head injuries, Rodgers must be symptom-free and cleared by a team doctor and independent neurological consultant before he can play again.

Jermichael Finley will miss 8-10 weeks following knee surgery on Tuesday. Doctors originally thought they would have to remove Finley's meniscus, which would have meant a quicker return. During surgery, they discovered that the meniscus could be repaired. A repaired meniscus takes longer to heal, but the long-term outlook is more favorable.

The Packers will be without tight end Jermichael Finley for at least three weeks after he undergoes arthroscopic knee surgery. Green Bay coach Mike McCarthy said that Finley will have the surgery on Tuesday. Finley has 21 receptions for 301 yards and a touchdown this season.
