The Packers will retire quarterback Brett Favre's No. 4 at some point, but the ceremony probably won't come in 2009. The Packers have signed free agent safety Anthony Smith to an undisclosed contract. Pittsburgh did not offer Smith a contract after the season, making him an unrestricted free agent. A three-year veteran, Smith started 10 games in 2007, when Ryan Clark was injured, but didn't start once last season.
