Seahawks Sign Paxton Lynch

The Seattle Seahawks have signed Paxton Lynch.

Lynch didn't play in 2018 after he was released by the Denver Broncos at the end of the preseason.

Lynch was a first round pick by the Broncos in 2016.

Brett Hundley backed up Wilson in 2018 and is a pending free agent.

The Denver Broncos have hired Rich Scangarello as offensive coordinator.

Scangarello will call Denver's plays.

Scangarello has been an assistant to Kyle Shanahan with both the Falcons and 49ers. Shanahan runs a version of Mike Shanahan's system, which has served as a base for the Broncos for years.

Donatell was the Denver's secondary coach from 1995-1999 and in 2010.

Donatell was most recently secondary coach of the Chicago Bears from 2015 through 2018.

The Minnesota Vikings have hired Gary Kubiak for an offensive advisory role.

Kubiak's son, Klint, is expected to become Vikings quarterbacks coach and Kevin Stefanski will remain as Vikings offensive coordinator.

Kubiak was close to become offensive coordinator of the Denver Broncos before they had a parting of ways.

The Denver Broncos have been unable to agree to terms with Gary Kubiak on a deal to become offensive coordinator.

The two sides were widely expected to reach a deal for Kubiak to run the offense under Vic Fangio.

Kubiak has had interest in returning to coaching this offseason.

Kubiak and the Broncos reportedly had different ideas on his staff and the offensive philosophy.

The Denver Broncos will decide between Vic Fangio and Mike Munchak for their head coaching job.

Fangio is coming off an excellent season as defensive coordinator of the Chicago Bears.

Munchak has been offensive line coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers since 2014. Munchak was 22-26 in his three seasons with the Tennessee Titans from 2011 to 2013, including a 9-7 finish in 2011.

Broncos Deny Requests From Falcons, Bengals To Interview Gary Kubiak

The Denver Broncos are blocking rival teams from interviewing Gary Kubiak for offensive coordinator openings.

Both the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals have reached out to the Broncos to interview Kubiak.

Kubiak currently works as a senior personnel adviser with the Broncos.

The Broncos would like to keep Kubiak and have him work with their new head coach. Kubiak would like to stay in Denver anyway, sources said.

Kubiak stepped away from coaching after the 2016 season, citing health issues.

The Chiefs, Steelers, Seahawks, Rams, Packers, Falcons, Patriots and Saints also rank in the top-10 on offense, while the Cowboys, Jaguars, Texans, Bears, Vikings, Broncos, Ravens and Bills are in the top-10 on defense.

The Chiefs rank first in the NFL in both Total DVOA and Weighted DVOA.
