Von Miller hopes the Denver Broncos sign Kirk Cousins in the offseason.

"I've talked to him before. He knows exactly how I feel ... and what he would mean to our team, and what he would mean to a lot of teams," Miller told "The Dan Patrick Show" on Wednesday.

"We need Kirk. I would like to have Kirk. We have great quarterbacks now. Kirk could take us over the edge."

Denver currently has quarterbacks Paxton Lynch, Trevor Siemian and Chad Kelly on the roster.

The Broncos also own the No. 5 overall pick.

The Denver Broncos own the fifth pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, which could be used on a quarterback. The Broncos, however, also have the option of finding one in free agency or via trade.

"Any time you draft that high you have to make 'em count," Elway said, via KUSA-TV. "We've got a lot of picks so we have the ammo also [to trade], so we've got to make sure we make them all count."

Alex Smith and Kirk Cousins are potential veteran quarterback targets for the Broncos.

Elway also talked about what he would be looking for in a quarterback in the draft.

"It is about the tape, but that's only part of it," Elway said. "You've got to find out what they're made of and if they love the game. It's a hard game. If they don't love it, it's hard for them to be successful."

The Denver Broncos are looking to trade Aqib Talib, but they could end up releasing the cornerback.

Talib is due an $11 million base salary in 2018, and he turns 32 next month.

He carries the third-largest cap hit on the Broncos, behind Von Miller and Demaryius Thomas.

After they each made a big play in the final minutes of Sunday's 24-23 AFC victory over the NFC, Delanie Walker and Von Miller were named MVPs of the Pro Bowl.

Walker caught an 18-yard touchdown pass from Derek Carr with 1:31 to play. Miller then strip-sacked Jared Goff and recovered the fumble with 37 seconds remaining to seal the win.

"I go all-out all the time," said Miller, who was playing in his sixth Pro Bowl.

In addition to the $64,000 that each winning player receives, Walker and Miller also get a luxury Genesis automobile for being named MVPs.

The NFL has five teams ranking in the top-10 in DVOA on both Offense and Defense at the end of the regular season in the Vikings, Rams, Saints, Steelers and Eagles.

The Chiefs, Cowboys, Chargers, Falcons and Patriots also rank in the top-10 on offense, while the Jaguars, Broncos, Panthers, Ravens and Cardinals rank in the top-10 on defense.

John Elway has informed Vance Joseph he will remain as head coach of the Denver Broncos in 2018.

The Broncos finished the season with a 5-11 record.

There had been reports that the Broncos were considering moving on from Joseph.
