Paxton Lynch Out Several Weeks With Right Shoulder Sprain

Aug 28, 2017 1:55 PM

The Denver Broncos will be without Paxton Lynch for several weeks following a right shoulder sprain.

Lynch's injury won't require surgery.

Trevor Siemian had already won the starting quarterback job for the Broncos.

Denver is expected to look around for potential help under center. Kyle Sloter and Chad Kelly are both on the roster, but neither has taken a snap in a game that matters.

The Broncos had interest in trading for Colin Kaepernick during the 2016 offseason.

Derek Wolfe Carted Off Field With Ankle Injury

Aug 12, 2017 5:27 PM

Derek Wolfe was carted off the Denver Broncos' practice field on Saturday with a right leg injury.

Wolfe was injured while in a pile on a running play.

"It's an ankle injury, we're not sure how bad," Vance Joseph said immediately following practice.

Wolfe was being sent for an MRI following practice, and the Broncos hope to have a potential timetable for a return to practice if the exam doesn't reveal more than the medical staff saw in the preliminary look.

Ryan Clady Announces Retirement From NFL

Aug 1, 2017 1:44 PM

Ryan Clady has announced his retirement from the NFL.

Clady, 30, became a free agent when the New York Jets declined to pay him a $1 million roster bonus due in February.

"Despite having several teams who are currently interested in signing me, I have made a very difficult decision to retire from my NFL playing career," Clady said in his post. "I have deliberated on this decision thoroughly until now because I wanted to see if the beginning of NFL training camps would inspire the passion that I need to perform at the standards that I established for myself during my 9-year NFL career.

"I am excited about what life holds for me going forward."
