Michael Crabtree, Aqib Talib Ejected Following Fight

Nov 26, 2017 5:45 PM

Michael Crabtree and Aqib Talib were ejected after a fight.

Crabtree blocked Talib during a 5-yard run by running back Marshawn Lynch. Crabtree kept pushing Talib out of bounds after the play was over.

Talib and Crabtree then exchanged shoves before swinging punches at each other.

Chris Harris Jr. had a confrontation with Crabtree during a previous play in which he claimed to be punched in the groin area.

Talib and Crabtree had moments in last season's two meetings when they were close to a confrontation, including when Talib ripped a necklace off Crabtree during a game. Talib appeared to again rip off a necklace Crabtree had been wearing Sunday afternoon.

Brandon Marshall Stands Behind Disagreeing With John Elway

Nov 20, 2017 11:57 PM

Brandon Marshall publicly took offense to comments from John Elway when he suggested players had gotten "a little bit soft" since their bye in Week 5.

Marshall said he believes he can "respectfully disagree" with Elway.

"I wasn't taking shots at him," Marshall said. "I think everybody was saying 'He's taking shots at the GM' and that is kind of ridiculous. I'm a competitive guy, I've got skin in the game, I'm out here running around busting my tail. ... I see nothing wrong with being a grown man disagreeing."

Elway's comments were made last Friday.

"I think at this point we're still trying to figure out how we can get through it," Elway said. "So, there's no question at the end of the year we'll evaluate it and we'll look back and see what happened. But I will tell you I think we got a little bit soft. To be dead honest with you, we got a little bit soft. We went 4-0 in the preseason, we started out 3-1, then we get a bye week and if you exhale in this league, you're in trouble. To be dead honest with you I think we exhaled and it's hard to recover from that. So, it's a lesson that hopefully we all learned and prevent it from happening again."

Paxton Lynch Not Physically, Mentally Ready To Play

Nov 7, 2017 12:36 PM

The Denver Broncos have had quarterback issues this season with Brock Osweiler recently replacing Trevor Siemian.

The Broncos used a first round pick on Paxton Lynch in 2016 but he hasn't featured this season.

"What I meant by that is physically he's been hurt," Vance Joseph clarified Monday, via the Denver Post. "He played his last football game in Week 3 of the preseason and he threw for four days prior to our last game. That's the physical part. The mental part, I was speaking more to that he hasn't played football. He hasn't been on the football field. ... Not his lack of football IQ. I wasn't talking about that. I was more talking about time on the job. He's missed so much time, so to put him in an NFL game Week 10 wouldn't be fair to our football team or fair to Paxton. That's what I meant."

Broncos Hopes Brock Osweiler Ready To Leave 'Football Rehab'

Nov 2, 2017 3:16 PM

After a season with the Houston Texans in which he struggled and an offseason trade to the Cleveland Browns, Brock Osweiler is back with the Denver Broncos as their starting quarterback.

Trevor Siemian has struggled as the Broncos' starter this season.

John Elway said he believed Osweiler just needed a little "football rehab" to be ready to play.

"I'm checking out," Osweiler said Wednesday when asked he if had completed that rehab. "You would have to ask John exactly what he meant. ... I think sometimes the best thing for a quarterback, when he's not playing well or he's going through some tough times, is actually pulling him out of the fire and making him the backup ... letting him observe.

"That's what I've been able to do. Sometimes when you're in the heat of the moment, you're just trying to make a play and then you make a bad play worse and then it just compounds, and before you know it, you can't slow it down."
