Kubiak: Brock Osweiler Can Do Everything

Nov 23, 2015 12:59 PM

Brock Osweiler played well in his first start for the Denver Broncos.

“He can do everything," said Gary Kubiak. "He’s a very composed young man, and the more he plays, I think, the better he’s going to get. We booted a little bit, not a lot. They [the Bears’ defenders] were up the field quite a bit, but the threat of us [running bootlegs], I think, helped us run the ball.”

Osweiler finished 20-for-27 and had a passer rating of 127.1.

Nov 17, 2015 10:58 AM

Peyton Manning has a partially torn plantar fascia in his left foot.

Manning had difficulty walking last week, according to some of his teammates.

Manning has battled plantar fasciitis for weeks but is believed to have aggravated the injury against Indianapolis on Nov. 8, resulting in a partial tear of his plantar fascia.

It is unclear how long Manning may be out.

"If [Manning's] healthy and ready to go, Peyton is our quarterback," Gary Kubiak said Sunday when asked about Brock Osweiler.

Manning won't start on Sunday as he works on getting back to full health.

Aqib Talib Suspended One Game For Eye Poke

Nov 9, 2015 4:16 PM

Aqib Talib has been suspended for one game by the NFL for poking Dwayne Allen in the right eye.

Talib is appealing the suspension so he will play on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

If the suspension is upheld, Talib would lose one game check -- $294,117 on a $5.5 million base salary.

"I sat with Aqib on the plane, coming home [Sunday] night,'' said Gary Kubiak on Monday. "I had a long talk with him. He's wrong, he needs to stay out of the situation. It hurt the team, he knows that. But by no means did he, I'm convinced, have intentions of poking anybody in the eye. That's where we're at. I'm come straight from meetings to you guys.''
