Colts, Eric Decker Have Mutual Interest

Sep 12, 2014 3:04 PM

The Indianapolis Colts have interest in pursuing Eric Decker.

Decker is a free agent and could be a cap casualty for the Denver Broncos.

Decker would be a nice complement alongside T.Y. Hilton, Reggie Wayne and Da'Rick Rogers.

Decker could be a long-term replacement for Wayne.

Elway: Von Miller 'Has Grown Up' After Difficult 2013

Oct 11, 2014 3:59 AM

Von Miller began the 2013 season on a six-game suspension and then suffered a torn ACL in December.

John Elway believes the difficult season has served as a wake-up call for Miller, who is one of the most talented pass rushers in the NFL.

"I think that (Miller) has grown up a lot," Elway said, according to the Broncos' official website. "I think he did a good job to adjusting, even though it affected him during the year.

"He's done a tremendous job of doing the right things and everything he's supposed to be doing. So hopefully he can continue to do that, because we'd love Von to be back to the Von we know he can be."

Eric Decker Open To Re-Signing With Broncos, Wants To Right By Family

Sep 7, 2014 9:41 PM

Eric Decker will entertain re-signing with the Denver Broncos, but he also wants to do right by his family.

Decker has become one of the NFL's most productive wide receivers while playing with Peyton Manning.

Decker caught 87 balls for 1,288 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2013.

While Decker puts up numbers of a No. 1 wide receiver, some talent evaluators doubt whether he could match that production in another system.

Chris Harris Ahead Of Schedule Rehabbing ACL

Sep 7, 2014 9:40 PM

Chris Harris is ahead of schedule in his recovery from a partial tear in his ACL.

The Denver Broncos missed Harris in the Super Bowl, as he had become the ninth-ranked cornerback in the NFL by Pro Football Focus.

The knee injury will prevent the Broncos from signing Harris to what would have been a long-term, lucrative deal.

Raiders, Broncos, Rams, Chargers, 49ers Have Toughest 2014 Schedule

Dec 9, 2014 9:09 AM

Based on opponents' winning percentage in 2013, the Oakland Raiders have the most difficult schedule in the NFL.

The Raiders play in the AFC West, which had three playoff teams in the Denver Broncos, Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers. The AFC West also plays the NFC West in inter-conference games this season.

The Broncos, St. Louis Rams, Chargers, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Chiefs, Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets and New England Patriots round out the top-10.

The Indianapolis Colts have the easiest schedule in the NFL, largely due to the weakness of the AFC South.

Wright: Seahawks Would Beat Broncos 90 Times Out Of 100

Sep 2, 2014 2:17 AM

K.J. Wright believes the Seattle Seahawks are a vastly superior team in comparison to the Denver Broncos.

Wright was asked how often the Seahawks would beat the Broncos if they played 100 times.

"Probably 90," Wright said Friday on NBC Sports Network, via ProFootballTalk. "I'd probably go 90 out of 100. They might've got lucky those other 10 times. They're a good football team but you know the way we play, our style of play most teams just can't match up with it. We are really good at what we do, we run the ball really well, we stop the run and we just out hit guys, so you know most teams just can't match up with our style of play."

Jack Del Rio, Broncos Agree Upon Two-Year Deal

Oct 31, 2014 7:25 PM

Jack Del Rio and the Denver Broncos have agreed upon a two-year contract that runs through 2015 to remain defensive coordinator.

"Jack did a nice job with our defense," Denver's executive VP of football operations John Elway said. "We had a lot of injuries on that defensive side and Jack did a good job holding that side together. Even in the Super Bowl, our defense kept us in the game in the first half."

Del Rio also served as interim head coach when John Fox underwent heart surgery.

Eric Decker Could Test Free Agency

Sep 17, 2014 3:42 PM

Eric Decker could become a free agent this offseason.

Decker has combined for 172 catches for 2,352 yards and 24 touchdowns over the past two seasons with the Denver Broncos.

“That hasn’t been a thought on my mind,” Decker said, according to an interview transcript from the league. “I’m going to enjoy the season we did have. (I’ll) look back at this game and wish we could have a lot of things back. As far as my future, that’ll be something I think about when the time comes in a couple of months.”
