The Broncos are expected to split carries between running backs Knowshon Moreno and Willis McGahee this Sunday against the Packers.
Moreno was a full participant in practice on Thursday despite a hamstring injury, but McGahee is expected to start.
Denver has totaled only 228 yards on the ground this year, good for fifth worst in the NFL.

Fox Sticking With Orton At Quarterback
Despite the outcry for Tim Tebow, Broncos coach John Fox says he is sticking with Kyle Orton at quarterback.
Denver is 1-2 this season and Tebow has a 1-2 record as a starter in his brief NFL career.
"A lot of the noise outside this building is obviously coming from the previous two years," John Elway, Denver's executive director of football operations, said in reference to their recent struggles. "And that's understandable given what we've been through. But (head coach) John Fox wasn't here, I wasn't here, most of this staff wasn't here.
"We're just three games into our first season together as a staff. And if you look at the three games, every one of them could have gone either way. If we were getting beat 41-0 in every game, I think it's a different situation."
Tebow Will Line Up Wherever Broncos Need Him
Tim Tebow insists that he'll be a quarterback in the NFL one day, but he's willing to line up wherever he can help the Broncos.
He lined up as a slot receiver last Sunday when Denver's group of receivers was beset by injuries.
"Well, I want to be a quarterback. I believe I can be; I believe I will be. And I've just got to keep working at that," Tebow said. "But if I can help the team in another way, that's what I'm here for.
"You know, we're all football players first."

Andy Dalton Cleared To Start For Bengals
Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had a full practice Friday and has been cleared to start Sunday against the Broncos.
Dalton, who's listed as probable, was hit on his throwing arm after he released a pass during a win in Cleveland on Sunday. His wrist and forearm bothered him so much that he couldn't grip the ball very well, forcing him to the sideline for the second half.
Tebow Thanks Fans, Will Wait His Turn
Tim Tebow said Thursday that while he's honored his fans are cheering for him to take over as the Broncos' quarterback, he trusts his coach and will bide his time without complaint.
"Well, I guess I appreciate the support, you know, but we got people in charge here that we trust and (I) trust they're going to do the right thing," Tebow said.
Fans Plan Pro-Tebow Billboards
A group of Broncos fans plan to purchase billboards in Denver, calling for the team to bench quarterback Kyle Orton and play Tim Tebow instead.
"We believe in Coach [John] Fox. We're just tired of Kyle Orton," Jesse Oaks said.
"We were sitting around after Fox said he didn't hear the chants for (Tim) Tebow and we figured if he's deaf, we hope he's not blind."
Oaks told the newspapers that he and seven other friends were saving up money to attend the Super Bowl in Indianapolis after this season but came up with a different way to spend the money after watching Denver's season-opening loss to the Raiders.
He was told it would cost $10,000 to purchase space on two billboards in Denver.
Orton Doesn't Care Where Fans Stand On Broncos QB Debate
Broncos quarterback Kyle Orton doesn't care that fans chanted for backup Tim Tebow during the team's season-opening loss to the Raiders on Monday night.
Orton grew testy when asked if he felt any added pressure with the fans booing him and calling for Tebow to take his job.
"No, not at all," Orton said. "I'm not going to sit here and waste my time answering questions about it, to be honest with you. Until Coach (John) Fox comes to me, he's the only one that I'm going to listen to. So, I'd rather you guys not waste my time with the questions because I'm not going to answer them."
Orton said the contingent of fans voicing their disapproval don't bother him.
"I just look at it like I don't care," he said. "(Fox's) opinion and my teammates' opinions will always be the ones that matter."
