Broncos To Use Tebow More Often

Sep 4, 2014 10:41 AM

The Broncos may use rookie quarterback Tim Tebow more as the season wears on. Tebow scored his first NFL touchdown on Sunday against the Jets. "I'm just excited that I get a chance to be on the field," Tebow said. "Whatever they ask, I am going to do the best I can." He was on the field for eight snaps in Week 6. "We're going to continue to push that a little bit and see what happens with it," coach Josh McDaniels said of using Tebow. "Now everybody has kind of seen us do different things from it, and we have to try to find a way to be creative and see how far we can take it and continue to make it productive. I don't want to just do it just to do it. If we can continue to be productive with it, then I think it makes sense to do it."

Kyle's been playing so well. All I can do is prepare every week for whatever my role is, continue to learn this offense, and wait for the time when the coaches think I can help the team.''

Broncos Cut Off Extension Talks With Bailey

Jul 13, 2014 9:01 AM

The Broncos have decided to pull out of extension talks with Champ Bailey. It was believed that the two sides were getting closer to making a deal. "I am disappointed because I want to be here," Bailey said. "We know that, they know that. What's the issue here, really?" The extension would have been for four seasons. Broncos coach Josh McDaniels talked to Bailey this week, telling him he still hopes a deal can be worked out later. "We were scheduled for a discussion on the contract offer they had recently e-mailed me," Reale said. "Before we had a chance for discussion, I received a call saying they wanted to put it off and wait until the end of the season. That is certainly their option and while not pleased, since no player likes playing in the last year of his contract, we respect their right to pursue that approach. "Champ will do what he always does. Play hard, give 100 percent, keep quiet and lead this team."

Titans Assistant Makes Obscene Gesture

Titans defensive coordinator Chuck Cecil expressed his anger towards officials during Sunday's loss to the Broncos by flipping his middle finger. Television cameras caught Cecil using his right hand to make the gesture when officials flagged his defense for a neutral zone infraction during the second quarter. The penalty led to a Denver touchdown on the next play. Last year, Titans owner Bud Adams was fined $250,000 by the NFL for making the same gesture.
