The Buccaneers and Broncos were reportedly trying to swing a three-team deal that would have sent Matt Cassel from New England to Denver and Cutler from Denver to Tampa Bay, with the Patriots receiving some sort of compensation.
The Lions also reportedly inquired about Cutler.
"I've heard the rumors," Cutler told Vic Lombardi of CBS in Denver. "I know what they're trying to do. Even though I love Denver and I'd love to remain a Bronco, I know how this business works. If they want me to play somewhere else, so be it."
