Dak Prescott Doesn't Want Any Playbook Limitations

Jul 27, 2017 9:04 AM

After one of the best rookie seasons in NFL history, Dak Prescott is ready for the Dallas Cowboys to remove any offensive limitations.

"I don't want any limitations. I want it all," Prescott said. "I want them to give me everything, give me the whole offense, ask me to do more, challenge me. I think I do better when they challenge [me], they expect more [of me]. From reads to more, I guess you could say complicated plays or reads or whatever it is, I want them to throw it all at me."

Prescott entered training camp last year as No. 3 on the Cowboys' depth chart, but jumped up due to injuries.

"I think the pressure I put on myself and the expectations I have for myself are higher than what anybody else can put on me. I don't really sense pressure from my coaches, my teammates, the organization or fans. I put a lot on myself. So I just worry about that. I worry about what I can control, what I can get better at to help this team and organization," he added.

Jerry Jones: No Domestic Violence Evidence Against Ezekiel Elliott

Jul 24, 2017 8:32 AM

Jerry Jones has come out in defense of Ezekiel Elliott as the running back awaits possible discipline for an alleged domestic violence incident last July in Columbus, Ohio.

"I have reviewed everything, and there is absolutely nothing -- not one thing -- that had anything to do with domestic violence," the Dallas Cowboys owner said.

However, Jones would not delve into whether Elliott could still be suspended by the NFL under the personal conduct policy.

Police Suspend Investigation Involving Ezekiel Elliott

Jul 20, 2017 8:19 PM

Police in Dallas have suspended their investigation into an alleged assault that reportedly involved Ezekiel Elliott, citing a lack of witnesses.

The Dallas Police Department said in a statement that it "made several attempts to contact the victim through various ways but at this time have not been able to make contact."

According to the police report, the incident occurred at a Dallas bar late Sunday night and left a 30-year-old man hospitalized with a nose injury.

An NFL official said earlier this week that the league is aware of the situation involving Elliott and "looking into it to understand the facts."

Ezekiel Elliott Involved In Incident At Dallas Bar

Jul 17, 2017 12:08 PM

Ezekiel Elliott was involved in an incident at a Dallas bar Sunday.

According to the Dallas Police Department, officers were dispatched to the bar around 9:40 p.m. A 30-year-old man said he was physically assaulted but could not identify who assaulted him. The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An NFL official said the league is aware of the situation involving Elliott and "looking into it to understand the facts."

Elliott is already under NFL investigation stemming from a 2016 domestic violence accusation against him.

Multiple sources told Schefter that Elliott could face a one- or two-game suspension, but the NFL has denied that any decision on discipline has been made and said it could not be made until its investigation is complete.

In August, before his first preseason game against the Seahawks, Elliott was spotted at a marijuana dispensary in Seattle. Owner and general manager Jerry Jones was not pleased.

"In general, while it may not be wrong, it's just not good," Jones said of Elliott's visit. "I don't want to say anymore."

Jerry Jones Led Insurrection In 1990s To Grow NFL's TV Revenues

Jul 16, 2017 6:30 PM

In the early 1990s, Jerry Jones helped lead an insurrection against the NFL's old-guard owners in how they approach their television deals.

The NFL signed a three-year with the networks in 1987 for a total of $1.4 billion. In 1991, the NFL agreed to a deal that kept network money flat.

Jones and his group invited FOX to bid and that triggered the first of many bidding wars.

In 1994, the NFL's deals with networks for four seasons was $4.4 billion.

The NFL is now making $7 billion per season.
