Feb 27, 2016 1:26 PM

Tony Romo said via text message he most likely will have a protective plate surgically implanted to help strengthen his left collarbone after undergoing a CT scan next week.

Romo's collarbone was broken twice in 2015 (three times since 2010).

Romo is expected to undergo surgery within the next two weeks.

There had been talk Romo would undergo a Mumford procedure, in which the distal part of the clavicle would have been shaved down to alleviate potential pressure from the shoulder.

Randy Gregory Suspended Four Games For Failed Drug Test

Feb 19, 2016 8:23 PM

Randy Gregory has received a four-game suspension for a failed drug test.

This is a setback for the linebacker after mixed results in his rookie year. He missed four games to injury and wasn't too productive (11 tackles, no sacks) as a part-time player with the Dallas Cowboys. But he also didn't look out of place as a pro, quietly racking up six hits and 15 hurries according to Pro Football Focus in only 250 snaps.

Tony Romo Comfortable With Cowboys Adding QB In Offseason

Feb 5, 2016 5:14 PM

Tony Romo would welcome the addition of a quarterback this offseason.

The Dallas Cowboys may draft a quarterback with their first round pick as Romo nears the end of his career.

"If someone's good enough to take your job, you're probably not as good as you thought," Romo said. "I've been a backup, I've been behind guys who were good players and I learned a lot from them. I'm going to do the same for whoever comes in. We get a free agent, I'll do the same and help him. We draft a kid, I'll do the same. At the end of the day, I feel very comfortable and confident in (my) skills and I'm obviously chasing a Super Bowl. That's what I'm trying to bring to Dallas."

Joseph Randle Reportedly Bet On Sports During 2015 Season

Feb 2, 2016 7:32 PM

Joseph Randle was cut by the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 3 after he showed signs of mental instability and he also had been involved in placing bets on sporting events during the 2015 season.

"All of that became apparent to us right during the season," Jerry Jones said last week from a Senior Bowl practice in Mobile, Ala. "Not before the season. It became real acute, a combination of things. Some issues ... became more apparent."

Jones was asked if any evidence showed that Randle bet on any NFL games.

"At this time, no," Jones said.

There's no evidence that shows Randle compromised any Cowboys' games last season, according to Jones.

"Not to my knowledge, not in any way," Jones added.
