Tony Romo Done For Season

Nov 28, 2015 12:46 PM

Tony Romo is "done for the season" after reinjuring his left collarbone.

Tests on Thursday were inconclusive but a CT scan on Friday revealed a hairline fracture. No surgery will be required for the injury.

Romo said the feeling he had after being sacked by linebacker Thomas Davis was "similar" to what he felt when he broke the collarbone in a Sept. 20 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

"Going to the ground you could hear something happen," Romo said. "You're just disappointed and feel like I don't know what is going to happen. We'll see."

Nov 20, 2015 2:16 PM

Jerry Jones praised Brandon Weeden became the Dallas Cowboys' starter following the injury to Tony Romo.

"You won't see a more gifted passer," said Jones at the time.

Jones admits he made a mistake with Weeden.

"I've tried to get cute at the QB spot," Jones said.

Jones believes the Cowboys would have won a few of the games they lost with Weeden had Matt Cassel been there the whole time.

Troy Aikman: Jerry Jones 'Pretty Much Accepts Everything'

Nov 13, 2015 11:18 AM

Troy Aikman talked about the willingness of Jerry Jones to accept any type of behavior from players as long as they produce.

Aikman was asked about how Jones has backed Greg Hardy and whether there would be a point where it is no longer worth the off the field issues.

"I guess the line is when he's no longer productive, you know? I think that's always been the line for Jerry Jones, is he's one to pretty much accept everything as long as a guy's productive," Aikman said, per SportsDayDFW.com.

"There's not many owners in this league like that. Obviously, (Carolina Panthers owner) Jerry Richardson isn't like that. They could certainly use Hardy in Carolina even though they're undefeated. As far as a pass rusher, they don't have that type of guy, but (Richardson) wasn't going to keep him. I think over the years, if you just look at the history of the moves that have been made and the players that have come through, the indiscretion's that if at some point he's not productive, then he won't be on the team any longer regardless of whatever it is that's going on off the field, and if he is productive, then he'll be here as long as he is."

Cowboys Decline Comment On Release Of Greg Hardy Photos

Nov 6, 2015 3:16 PM

The Dallas Cowboys have declined comment on the release of photos by Deadspin of Greg Hardy's ex-girlfriend's bruises.

The Deadspin piece also includes records of how he threw Nicole Holder against a bathroom wall, onto a bed covered with assault rifles, choking her and threatening her life at his apartment.

Hardy was signed by the Cowboys this past offseason.

In February, when the case was thrown out, Hardy asked that the charges be expunged from his record, The Charlotte Observer reports. In April, he filed paperwork with the same request, and a judge in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, signed the order this week.

That means the incident is not listed on Hardy's record.

Jerry Jones recently praised Hardy as a "real leader."

Hardy was suspended by the NFL on April 22 for the first 10 games of this season, but that suspension was reduced to four games by arbitrator Harold Henderson on July 10.
