Richard Sherman Expected To Shadow Dez Bryant

Oct 31, 2015 4:01 PM

Earl Thomas is in favor of Richard Sherman lining up against the opposing team's best wide receiver, regardless of which side of the field he's on.

Sherman is expected to do so this Sunday against Richard Sherman.

"Of course," Earl Thomas said when asked if he supports the strategy. "Both hands up.

"I think the big thing about that is it’s a clear conscience for me when he’s moving around and he’s following a No. 1 guy. That’s all I can say about that. I don’t have to worry about the No. 1 guy."

Sherman has been traveling more this year. He matched up with Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green for three-plus quarters. And last week against the San Francisco 49ers, he stuck with Torrey Smith and held him without a catch.

Cowboys To Monitor Dez Bryant's Snaps

Oct 30, 2015 1:42 PM

The Dallas Cowboys will monitor the snaps of Dez Bryant if he plays in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks.

Bryant has practiced on a limited basis this week after missing the previous five games following surgery to repair a broken right foot.

“Any time a player hasn’t played for in a little while you always want to ease him back into action to a certain extent,” Jason Garrett said. “You can’t ease into action in a play. You need to go full speed on every play. So you just have to monitor how he’s handling the work. With him or any guy you’re always just mindful of that. We have no hard and fast rules. We look at guys, look at the conditions, see how he’s feeling, use your eyes, communicate and we decide what we think is best. We’ll see how he does today. If he comes back, feels good today, we’ll start making the determinations about the weekend.”

Dez Bryant On Target To Return Against Seattle

Oct 29, 2015 6:53 PM

Dez Bryant is on track to return to the Dallas Cowboys' lineup in Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks.

"He looked good in practice and should do even more tomorrow," said Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones on Wednesday. "It's premature to say he'll play Sunday, but he's on target to play this weekend if this continues."

Bryant is coming back from breaking a bone in his right foot in Week 1.

Bryant seemed to be in an optimistic mood as well following practice, telling reporters, "I had a great day of practice," said Bryant.

Joseph Randle Violated Personal Conduct Policy, Likely To Be Suspended

Oct 29, 2015 12:22 PM

Joseph Randle left the Dallas Cowboys' practice facility for personal reasons after learning he lost the starting running back job to Darren McFadden.

Randle is now facing discipline for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy.

Randle met with NFL investigators this summer and within the past week.

Randle will likely be suspended for multiple games for a February incident in Wichita, Kansas, where Randle was arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana after police received a call about domestic violence with a weapon after an incident with Randle and the mother of his son.

It was the second time in four months Randle had been arrested.

Last October, he was arrested at a Frisco, Texas, mall for shoplifting.

Randle was at the Cowboys' facility Thursday and met with some of the coaches.

Cowboys Interested In Signing Greg Hardy To Extension

Oct 29, 2015 12:19 PM

The Dallas Cowboys are interested in signing Greg Hardy to a long-term extension.

Jerry Jones' comments came a day after Stephen, the Cowboys executive vice president, told the same station the team would "absolutely" like to get a deal done and believed it was "very much a possibility."

Hardy and Dez Bryant had a verbal altercation in Week 7.

Hardy was signed by the Cowboys this past offseason following his suspension for domestic violence.

Greg Hardy Confronted By Dez Bryant After Tirade At Special Teams Unit

Oct 27, 2015 10:52 AM

Greg Hardy and Dez Bryant had an animated verbal exchange on the sideline of the Dallas Cowboys' Week 7 loss to the New York Giants.

Hardy's intense discussion with Bryant followed immediately after he broke into the special-teams huddle to berate his teammates after they gave up a decisive 100-yard kickoff return by New York's Dwayne Harris.

Safety Danny McCray, a member of the unit, said the passionate Hardy even "pushed me a little bit."

NBC television footage later aired showing Hardy confronting a coach Pro Football Talk identified as special-teams coordinator Rich Bisaccia and getting into an angry shouting match with him and swiping at a clipboard Bisaccia was holding.

"There is no issue," Bryant said. "That's just football. People want to make nothing into something, especially when we lose. That's just football."

Hardy, when asked about it after the game, issued a half-dozen "no comments" to questions in the locker room, then turned his back to the media.

Dez Bryant Could Play In Week 7 Against Giants

Oct 20, 2015 12:57 PM

The Dallas Cowboys aren't ruling out Dez Bryant from playing on Sunday against the New York Giants, according to Jerry Jones.

Bryant will make the final call on whether he plays.

"I don't know what 100 percent means in this particular case," Jones told 105.3 The Fan in Dallas on Tuesday morning. "One-hundred percent healed? One-hundred percent from the standpoint of no sensation, no sensitivity? I don't think you would have no sensitivity.

"But I do think that the combination of all the work he's done, which has been extraordinary, as well as some of the additional procedures that were done, give us a lot of confidence that, if he's comfortable putting it down and driving off on his foot, then we're comfortable with him playing."

Bryant had surgery to repair a broken right foot on Sept. 14 after suffering the injury in the season-opening win against the Giants.

Cowboys Are Easily NFL's Most Broadcast Team

Oct 16, 2015 12:09 PM

The Dallas Cowboys are by far the most broadcast team around the country.

Over the past six seasons, they were either the first or second most commonly broadcast team in 95 of just over 200 markets around the United States.

On average, every Nielsen market sees at least nine of the Cowboys' 16 games each season. Not only are the Cowboys frequently featured on the national games, but the regional action also leans heavily towards Dallas.

The New York Giants rank second, followed by the Green Bay Packers, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, New Orleans Saints and the Indianapolis Colts to round out the top-10.
