Super Bowl XLV Expecting Record Crowd

NFL officials are expecting a record 105,000 fans to be in attendance for Super Bowl XLV between the Steelers and Packers on Feb. 6 at Cowboys Stadium. The final seating capacity hasn't been set, but 100,000 tickets have been sold, with 95,000 going inside the stadium and another 5,000 dedicated to the Party Plaza area that will be located outside the stadium, according to NFL spokesperson Brian McCarthy. The NFL record for attendance at a Super Bowl occurred on Jan. 20, 1980 when 103,985 fans attended Super Bowl XIV between the Steelers and Los Angeles Rams at the Rose Bowl.

Troy Aikman, Wife Separating

Former Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman and his wife, Rhonda, have separated after more than a decade of marriage. Aikman confirmed the separation in a statement published by The Dallas Morning News, in what he calls "a difficult decision" for both. The couple married in 2000. Rhonda Aikman had a daughter from a previous marriage. The Aikmans have two daughters together.

Dallas owner and general manager Jerry Jones has the final say on who the team selects with the No. 9 pick of the draft and the rest of the selections. "The way I like to say it is that I'm not the sole decision maker," Garrett said. "A lot of people seem interested in that. We'll make the decisions collectively as an organization."

Romo, Bryant Both On Target For Return

Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and wide receiver Dez Bryant are both on schedule in their rehabilitation from injuries suffered during the regular season. Bryant suffered a season-ending ankle injury against the Colts on Dec. 5. "He is on target," Cowboys owner and general manager Jerry Jones said of Bryant, who is off crutches. Jones also said the team was confident Romo could have played at the end of the 2010 season when his left collarbone was healed. "Certainly we didn't have any negative impact at the end of the year, one way or the other because he can play," Jones said of Romo. "He's certainly going to be capable to do anything and everything he can this offseason [in terms of rehab]."

Terry Glenn Arrested For DWI In Dallas

Former Cowboys wide receiver Terry Glenn was arrested Thursday for driving while intoxicated and possession of marijuana. Glenn was released after paying $3,011 bond, according to police records. He played five seasons with the Cowboys and caught 208 passes for 3,337 yards with 20 touchdowns. He began with career with the Patriots in 1996, then played one season with the Packers in 2002 before joining the Cowboys.

NFL Selling $200 Tickets To Watch Super Bowl Outside

The NFL is selling $200 tickets to next month's Super Bowl, but fans will have to sit on the grass outside of Cowboys Stadium and watch the game on the huge HD TV screens. "We've never done this before," Brian McCarthy, the NFL's vice president of corporate communications, said. The offer has been extended to Cowboys Club Seat season ticket holders, and must be purchased in blocks of four. Tickets to get inside the stadium start at $600 and range all the way to $1,900 for the lower level.
