"I don't know why those guys started thinking I can't play," said Williams. "When I've been back here to play against the Cowboys, I've usually played well [Williams has 11 receptions, 176 yards and two touchdowns in two career games against Dallas]. But I guess I'll just have to show them what I can do." Williams had just 19 catches for 198 yards and a touchdown in 10 games with Dallas. "I just feel more comfortable," Williams said. "And I'm not the only one who's feeling that way. Tony is more comfortable with me. [Offensive coordinator] Jason Garrett is more comfortable calling plays for me. We're all developing that trust, and that's something we didn't have last season. Unfortunately, I was the one who wound up looking bad because of it."

Former Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart has reportedly landed a job with the rival Eagles. Stewart is expected to sign a contract early next week, and his exact job title is yet to be revealed. Stewart could be an asset for the Eagles as defensive coordinator Jim Johnson deals with a recurrence of cancer.

A consultant who helped the Cowboys with upgrades to their collapsed practice facility last year served time in a federal prison. The man was connected to a violent drug-trafficking ring, the Dallas Morning News has reported. Jeffrey Lawrence Galland pleaded guilty to using a firearm during a violent crime, and conspiracy to distribute cocaine and marijuana, according to court records. The collapse of the Cowboys' facility three weeks ago left 12 people injured, including a team staff member who is paralyzed from the waist down.

Terrell Owens used his Twitter account recently to blame Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and offensive coordinator Jason Garrett for his departure. A fan posted on Owens' Twitter page that he wasn't happy Dallas cut him.
