Was Brad Johnson The 'Snitch' In Dallas?

Oct 25, 2014 9:25 PM

According to Warren Sapp, former teammate Brad Johnson was the 'snitch' that provided the infamous below quote to ESPN. "He's insecure about it. The thing that bothers me more than anything about this problem is that it's always something with him -- San Fran, Philly and here, always something. And he brings other people into it. You know, he talks to Sam Hurd and Roy Williams, who just got here and doesn't really know these guys. T.O. talks to him and so now he probably thinks Witten politics with Tony for the ball. "That's so far from the truth. You think Tony is throwing to him because that's his buddy? His best buddy is Bobby Carpenter, and that's not helping him too much. It's crazy to think that, and I hate that he acts that way." At the time, Jason Witten was blamed as the 'snitch', which was illogical considering the quote.

No. 94 Ware Wants New Deal To Match Uniform Number

Sep 25, 2014 12:28 AM

DeMarcus Ware remains patient because he fully expects a contract extension with the Cowboys to be completed before the start of the season. "I'm not frustrated because at the end of the day, I know I can play," said Ware, who led the league with 20 sacks in 2008. "Like I say, I'm a Ferrari. The only thing I do is appreciate. It's on them to get it done." The Cowboys have had discussions with Ware's agent, Pat Dye, over the last few months. With the draft done, those talks could increase over the next few months. Ware, a three-time Pro Bowler in his first four years, jokingly offered a solution in reference to his uniform number. "It's not $51 [million]," Ware said. "It might not be $100 [million]. It's somewhere between the two. Maybe it's $94 [million]."

Jones: Cowboys 'Maximized' Draft Without No .1

Sep 25, 2014 12:34 AM

Cowboys owner Jerry Jones feels as though the team had a good draft despite not having a first round pick, and dealing away their second round selection. "We really maximized our draft without a No. 1," Jones said. "Everybody would have loved to have a No. 1. But I would not have wanted it at the expense of not having Roy Williams. I think we were able to direct the picks at the part of the draft in the third and fourth round and do some damage in getting players to help us in a lot of different ways." The team realizes that fans and pundits are going to knock their selections, because people focus on high-round selections. "It's hard if you are a fan to be excited because all you hear about are the first-round picks," Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones said. "It's not hard for us to be excited. We are as excited as we have ever been about the draft. The numbers and opportunities are every bit as exciting as if we had two 1s and two 2s."

T.O. Dismisses Aikman's Comments About Release

Nov 5, 2014 9:54 AM

Buffalo's Terrell Owens has responded to comments made by Troy Aikman following the receiver's release from Dallas earlier this offseason. "That's fine. Troy's Troy," Owens said. "I think he has three Super Bowl rings so he has the authority to say that. So other than that, I'm fine. I've been called selfish pretty much throughout my career. I think I'm in good company. Jerry Rice has been called selfish before, as well as a number of other guys. You know, I'm still probably going to be called selfish. So other than that, it doesn't bother me what he says." Aikman endorsed the Cowboys decision to release Owens.
