Roy Williams: Lions Practiced Harder Than Cowboys
Wide receiver Roy Williams spent time in both Detroit and Dallas last season, and says that the 0-16 Lions practiced harder than the Cowboys.
"I mean, I was there until we were 0-5, I think," Williams said Friday morning.
"You know, we still had a chance to be in the playoffs at 0-5. Guys were still working. I think, actually, Detroit works harder than Dallas on the practice field. I don't know why it doesn't transition to the game field on Sunday."
Texas Stadium Center Star Rolled Up
Crews on Friday rolled up the star section of blue artificial turf at Texas Stadium.
John Linville of Hellas Construction says the company laid the latest artificial field in 2002, including the more than 1-ton section of the star.
Haley: Keyshawn, Booker, Glenn Are Better Than Owens
Cardinals offensive coordinator Todd Haley, formerly the receivers coach for the Cowboys, says that Keyshawn Johnson, Marty Booker and Terry Glenn were all better than Terrell Owens.
Haley has coached all of the aforementioned receivers.
It was well-documented that Haley and Owens didn't get along well during their time together in Dallas.
Dallas Fines Bennett For Rap Video
The Cowboys have decided to fine tight end Martellus Bennett for putting out a profanity-laced rap video on YouTube earlier this week.
Two sources indicated that the fine was $22,000, the team's first act in restoring discipline to the franchise.
Bennett has since rapped an apology video on his YouTube channel.
Dallas Police Give Up On Irvin Case
Dallas police have suspended their investigation of former Cowboys' receiver Michael Irvin's report that a man flashed a gun at him at a stoplight.
Investigators said Wednesday they have hit a dead end because Irvin never returned their telephone calls.
Irvin has said he was stopped at a red light Jan. 12 when two men in a truck pulled up next to him and one of them flashed a gun.
Cowboys Might Fine TE Bennett For Rap Video
Tight end Martellus Bennett could be disciplined and/or fined by the Cowboys or a profanity-laced YouTube video he put out earlier this week.
Bennett did a freestyle rap with Dessie Brown to the song "Get Money" in the video, and he used profanity and the names of owner Jerry Jones, tight end Jason Witten and quarterback Tony Romo.
Bennett used derogatory terms toward blacks and gays.
Sources: Reeves In Talks With Cowboys
ESPN's Chris Mortensen has reported that Dan Reeves has had discussions with the Cowboys about joining the team as a consultant.
Reeves recently interviewed with the 49ers about their offensive coordinator job, but a source said Monday that Reeves informed San Francisco that he likely would be taking a consultant position with the Cowboys.

Cowboys receiver Terrell Owens will star in his own show on VH1 this summer, giving fans a look into his life off the field.
VH1 announced Monday that the series takes place in the offseason, with two assistants attempting to help Owens work on his personal life.

In an interview during Thursday night's Wizards-Lakers' game on TNT, Cowboys' wide receiver Terrell Owens commented on his relationship with quarterback Tony Romo.
"We're good," Owens said in the interview. "Obviously, there were some things said during the course of the season, but that's my boy."
