Kareem Hunt will not be permitted inside the Cleveland Browns' facility starting Saturday at 4 p.m as he serves an eight-game suspension to begin the season.
The Browns had asked Roger Goodell to allow Hunt to be around his teammates, arguing he could use the extra support. The ban was handed down after physical altercations off the field.
Cleveland signed Hunt in March, three months after he was released by the Kansas City Chiefs.
Baker Mayfield was surprised to see the New York Giants draft Daniel Jones earlier this year.
"Blows my mind," the Cleveland Browns quarterback told GQ. "Some people overthink it. That's where people go wrong. They forget you've gotta win."
Jones was 17-19 at Duke before the Giants made him the sixth overall pick.
"Either you have a history of winning and being that guy for your team or you don't," he told GQ.

Odell Beckham, Jr. sat out practice with the Cleveland Browns on Wednesday with a hip injury.
The Browns were holding a joint practice with the Indianapolis Colts.
Freddie Kitchens termed the injury minor and the wide receiver could participate in team drills on Thursday.
Antonio Callaway has received a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy.
Callaway had been working with the reserves of the Cleveland Browns in training camp.
“I take full responsibility for my actions,” Callaway said in a statement. “I made a mistake and I own that. I have taken steps to make myself better and I appreciate the Browns standing by me and supporting me during this time. I know there’s nothing I can say to regain trust; it will all be about my actions.”
Callaway had 43 receptions for 586 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie last season.
The Cleveland Browns have traded Duke Johnson Jr. to the Houston Texans for a fourth round pick in 2020 that can become a third round pick.
The Browns had a surplus of running backs that made Johnson expendable.
