Baker Mayfield Wanted 'Revenge' Against Hue Jackson

Jul 18, 2019 8:50 AM

Baker Mayfield says that beating the Cincinnati Bengals was a highlight of his rookie season.

Mayfield was critical of Hue Jackson for joining the Bengals after being fired by the Cleveland Browns.

"I'm not gonna lie to you and say that the first time I played Hue did not feel good. It's human nature to want to get revenge," the quarterback said.

Mayfield called Jackson "fake" when he joined Cincinnati.

"I said what I meant," he said. "Don't stand up in front of us the week before and try to tell us you're doing everything for us, then go take a job with a team we play twice a year. It was one of those honesty and respect things."

John Ross Changing Numbers To 'Start Everything Over'

Jul 5, 2019 7:41 AM

John Ross has said there is a "completely different" energy around the Cincinnati Bengals this offseason.

The wide receiver is taking the change a step further by changing from No. 15 to No. 11.

After a disappointing first two NFL seasons, Ross said the change is a bid to "start everything over."

Ross has just 21 receptions in his two-year career.
