Cam Newton's Future With Panthers Depends On Health

Feb 12, 2020 8:32 AM

Cam Newton said during Super Bowl week that he "absolutely" will return to the Carolina Panthers, but owner David Tepper isn't ready to make such a commitment.

"Listen. I'm not a doctor," Tepper said. "I've said it a million times, is he healthy? He's not a doctor. There's a lot of different things that can happen. Is he healthy? And then we can talk."

Newton had Lisfranc surgery on his left foot in early December.

The Panthers reportedly want to work out Newton in March to see where he is with his rehabilitation.

Panthers Release Greg Olsen

Feb 4, 2020 9:09 AM

The Carolina Panthers have released Greg Olsen.

The two sides announced last week that they would mutually part ways.

The 34-year-old tight end had one year left on his deal, which would have cost $11.6 million in 2020.

Olsen will visit with the Buffalo Bills and Washington Redskins.
