Roddy White Thinks NFLPA Failed Players

Jun 3, 2014 10:23 PM

Roddy White has shared some negative thoughts about former players suing the league. Some players are using Monday's hearings as a platform to complain about Roger Goodell's role in the disciplinary process, something that prompted former NFL executive Andrew Brandt to point out a flaw in their argument via Twitter. "Don't know why we complaining we did this to ourselves," White wrote. "I applaud Roger Godell [sic] for brokering a hell of a deal and I blame nflpa for failing us. ... Whoever is the head of the baseball union that's who we need to hire they never have problems. ... Ok they have had problems but not on the same issues that where [sic] problems before they signed a new cba as a union. the nflpa fixed none of our real problems. ... Sold us a great dream about how good the deal was I didn't even want to sign that card because I knew the deal we signed was terrible."

Roddy White Set To Do Less In Diversified Attack

Oct 21, 2014 4:16 PM

Roddy White figures to be targeted less this coming season as the Falcons aim to feature a more diversified offensive attack. "I know that sounds crazy, but we've got other guys out there that can play," White said. "Julio [Jones] is going to be a big part of the offense this year. Harry [Douglas] is going to do wonders in the slot. We have to maximize our talent and get the ball in everyone's hands." White has been the most productive wide receiver in the NFL over the past two seasons in terms of receptions. He led the NFL with 115 catches in 2010 and was second with 100 in 2011.

Robinson has taken the move well and has even noted his preference for playing in the slot, but the Falcons expected a lot more from him when they signed him to a six-year, $57.5 million contract as an unrestricted free agent in 2010.
