Patrick Peterson has been suspended for the first eight games of the 2019 season for a violation of the NFL's performance enhancing drug policy.

Peterson has dropped his appeal and will serve the suspension.

Peterson is an eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback.

Josh Rosen never heard from Steve Keim in the months leading up to the draft and his subsequent trade from the Arizona Cardinals to the Miami Dolphins.

Rosen only learned of Arizona's intention to select Kyler Murray one minute before the pick was announced when he received a call from Kliff Kingsbury.

Rosen was traded by the Cardinals for a second round pick from the Dolphins.

The Arizona Cardinals have signed first overall pick Kyler Murray to his rookie contract.

As with all first-round contracts, Murray's deal is for four years with a fifth-year team option. The contract is worth $35,158,644 fully guaranteed, according to a source.

Kyler Murray will start right away for the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals used the No. 1 overall pick on Murray last week.

When asked on The Rich Eisen Show if the rookie quarterback would start against the Detroit Lions on Sept. 8, general manager Steve Keim quickly answered, "Yes."

"We didn't draft him one overall to ride the pine," Keim added. "I know it's a lot to put on his back, but that's why we drafted him. He's a fierce competitor, and that's what he did at Oklahoma this year. He put the team on his back. They didn't have a great defense, and he knew he had to score on almost every series to give them a chance to win. I sort of like the chances there."
