Giants Internally Explore Trade For Josh Rosen

Mar 27, 2019 6:55 AM

The New York Giants are internally exploring a trade for Josh Rosen.

The Arizona Cardinals have been rumored to prefer Kyler Murray at No. 1 and will listen to offers for Josh Rosen. Rosen was the No. 10 pick in last year's draft.

The Giants could still also select a quarterback in this year's draft with Murray, Dwayne Haskins, Drew Lock and Daniel Jones all potential first round picks at the position.

The future of Eli Manning as quarterback of the Giants beyond 2019 remains uncertain.

Kliff Kingsbury Insists Josh Rosen Fits His System

Mar 26, 2019 4:23 PM

Kliff Kingsbury insists Josh Rosen will fit his offense with the Arizona Cardinals should they keep him as their quarterback. The Cardinals are also considering Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick.

"No question," Kingsbury said. "People have said a lot of things that are misconceptions, if you will. But Josh is a tremendous player, I've always thought, watching him at UCLA. He played his best football in a spread system, some similarities to what we do. He's a tremendous thinker, very cerebral, can throw it with anybody, and we take a lot of pride in building a system around a quarterback.

"For someone to say he doesn't fit our system, it doesn't make sense."

Kingsbury said with the first overall draft pick comes "tons of chatter."

Kingsbury praised Murray on Tuesday, calling him "one of the better dual-threat players to ever play."

"I don't know if I've seen one that can do both things as well as he does," Kingsbury said. "You see the running ability, Mike Vick comes to mind, that type of explosion and escapability. He's a true dropback passer when he wants to be. He's a tough combination."

Mar 24, 2019 10:55 PM

With the NFL Draft drawing closer, Kliff Kingsbury says the Arizona Cardinals haven't ruled out anything with the first overall pick.

There have been rumors that the Cardinals want to draft Kyler Murray and trade Josh Rosen, last year's first-round selection.

"I think everything's on the table," Kingsbury said. "When you have that first pick, you've gotta turn over every stone and look at every scenario that's out there, and so we're definitely doing that."

49ers Could Have 'Feeding Frenzy' If Kyler Murray Falls To No. 2

Mar 22, 2019 9:35 AM

The Arizona Cardinals are strongly considering selecting Kyler Murray with the No. 1 overall pick. If the Cardinals decide not to select him, there are expected to be a number of teams interested in trading up to the San Francisco 49ers' slot at No. 2.

"Now, if they don’t do it, and he’s still there at No. 2, I see an absolute feeding frenzy from teams looking to trade all the way up for Murray," wrote Jay Glazer. "I just don’t see him dropping past that. But man, if the Cards don’t take him, that No. 2 slot that the 49ers own would probably be the most sought-after slot in a long time."

Cardinals Receive Trade Interest From Multiple Teams On Josh Rosen

Mar 7, 2019 9:20 AM

The Arizona Cardinals have received interest from multiple teams on Josh Rosen.

The Cardinals, however, did not give those teams any indication that they are willing to move on from Rosen at this time.

Steve Keim caused a stir last week at the combine when he added "right now" when asked if Rosen was the team's starting quarterback.

"Yeah, he is, right now, for sure," Keim said.

The Cardinals currently own the No. 1 overall pick and have been linked with Kyler Murray.

The Cardinals traded up to select Rosen with the 10th overall pick last year. He appeared in 14 games (13 starts) during his rookie season, completing 55.2 percent of his passes and throwing for 2,278 yards with 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions.

Raiders Considered One Team Consistently In On Antonio Brown

Mike Klis of Denver’s 9News reported Monday the Denver Broncos “are NOT — and have not been — involved in Antonio Brown. Not worth the price.”

Ian Rapoport of NFL.com said Tuesday morning that the Raiders “are the one team continually staying in the mix.”

The Pittsburgh Steelers are committed to trading away Brown this offseason.
