The Detroit Lions and Atlanta Falcons discussed a Devonta Freeman deal at length before the deadline.

The Falcons ultimately decided they wanted to keep Freeman. The Falcons signed Freeman to a five-year extension in 2017.

The Falcons are 1-7 this season while the Lions are 3-3.

The New York Jets may have a potential rift building between Jamal Adams and general manager Joe Douglas.

Douglas didn't end up making any trades before Tuesday afternoon's deadline.

Adams attacked the general manager on Twitter, saying he told Douglas last week that he wanted to remain with the Jets but he "went behind my back and shopped me around to teams, even after I asked him to keep me here! Crazy business."

According to reports, the Jets talked with multiple teams about the safety.

The Los Angeles Rams have traded Aqib Talib and a fifth round pick to the Miami Dolphins for a conditional pick.

Talib was placed on injured reserve earlier this month due to fracture ribs. Talib could return by Week 15.

Talib is in the final season of his deal with approximately $4.2 million remaining.

The New York Jets have interest in trading Le'Veon Bell ahead of the NFL's trade deadline.

Adam Gase wasn't interested in signing Bell this past offseason.

Bell signed a four-year, $52.5 million deal with $27 million guaranteed at signing.

Bell, who has a $8.97 million cap charge this year, will count $15.5 million against the 2021 cap (with $13.5 million in cash earnings).

Washington is finally open to trading Trent Brown.

Brown is holding out this season.

The Cleveland Browns have interest in trading for Brown to improve their offensive line.

The New York Jets have traded Leonard Williams to the New York Giants for a third round pick in 2020 and a fifth round pick in 2021.

Williams had been on the trade block for several days.

The Arizona Cardinals have acquired Kenyan Drake from the Miami Dolphins for a conditional 2020 draft pick. Miami will receive a 2020 sixth-round pick that can become a fifth-round pick.

The Cardinals need depth at running back with David Johnson and Chase Edmonds injured.

Drake was the Dolphins' leading rusher.

The San Francisco 49ers have received trade interest in C.J. Beathard ahead of the deadline.

Beathard performed well as a starter for the 49ers last season with Jimmy Garoppolo out with a torn ACL.

The New England Patriots have traded Michael Bennett to the Dallas Cowboys.

The Patriots will receive 2021 seventh round pick from the Cowboys.

Bennett turns 34 next month and was suspended for one game by the Patriots following a disagreement with defensive line coach Bret Bielema. 

The Detroit Lions have traded safety Quandre Diggs and a 2021 seventh-round pick to the Seattle Seahawks for a 2020 fifth-round pick.

Diggs was a starter for the Lions at slot cornerback and safety.
