The Seattle Seahawks won't keep Antoine Winfield on their 53-man roster.

Winfield is 36 and entering his 15th season.

The Seahawks will look to trade Winfield and will cut him if a deal cannot be reached.

The San Francisco 49ers have traded outside linebacker Parys Haralson to the New Orleans Saints.

The 49ers believe they have good depth at the position behind Aldon Smith and Ahmad Brooks.

Haralson is an eight-year veteran who renegotiated his contract in the offseason.

The Saints lost Will Smith to injury for the entire season on Monday.

The Buffalo Bills have acquired Thaddeus Lewis from the Detroit Lions.

The Bills have quarterback depth due to the concussion to Kevin Kolb.

The Lions have acquired linebacker Chris White in return.

C.J. Manuel is the presumptive starter.

The San Francisco 49ers are attempting to trade Colt McCoy.

The 49ers have been disappointed with the preseason performance of McCoy and have signed Seneca Wallace.

McCoy was acquired in April from the Cleveland Browns for a fifth and seventh round pick.

The Philadelphia Eagles have traded Felix Jones to the Pittsburgh Steelers for Adrian Robinson.

The Steelers need depth at running back with Le'Veon Bell injured.

Robinson has significant playing time as a 3-4 linebacker.

Jones was a first round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2008.

With Michael Vick winning the Philadelphia Eagles' starting quarterback job, Nick Foles will be the backup.

The Eagles have no plans to trade Foles, according to a source.

Foles started six games last season while Vick was injured, compiling a 1-5 record.

Foles has played well in preseason action, but Vick was the clear choice to win the job.

The Eagles also have Matt Barkley on the depth chart at quarterback.

The Detroit Lions attempted to trade Mike Thomas before releasing him on Monday.

The Lions acquired Thomas in a mid-season trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars last season in exchange for a fifth-round draft pick in 2014. 

Thomas was never a good fit for the Lions' offense.

Thomas went on to sign with the Arizona Cardinals.

The San Francisco 49ers have trade A.J. Jenkins to the Kansas City Chiefs for Jonathan Baldwin.

Jenkins was the 30th overall pick by the 49ers in the 2012 NFL Draft out of Illinois.

Jenkins has struggled at wide receiver for the 49ers in both practice and in preseason play.

Like Jenkins, Baldwin is a former first round pick that has struggled.

Kirk Cousins is the Washington Redskins' backup to Robert Griffin III at quarterback.

Similar to when Matt Schaub backed up Michael Vick with the Atlanta Falcons, Cousins has a lot of value around the NFL.

"If I were a coach, I'd offer a first-round pick to the Redskins to get Kirk Cousins on my team," said Jon Gruden.

The San Francisco 49ers have traded for Eric Wright just 20 days after voiding a previous trade for the cornerback with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The 49ers have placed Wright on the non-football injury/illness list.

“We are pleased to welcome Eric to the 49ers organization and look forward to his contributions,” general manager Trent Baalke said. “Eric is currently tending to a personal matter and he will join the team as soon as possible.”

Wright was arrested for a DUI in Los Angeles on July 12.

The 49ers lost Chris Culliver for the season since the vetoed trade.
