The Packers, the defending Super Bowl champions, have the No. 32 pick in next month's NFL Draft. The final pick in the first round has been traded three times in the last nine years, but the slot has regularly produced strong contributors. Dating back to 2001, guys like Drew Brees, Logan Mankins, Anthony Gonzalez and Ziggy Hood were all taken with the final pick of the opening round.

Broncos Remain Unlikely To Deal Second Pick

May 16, 2014 10:55 PM

Given the current lockout in the NFL, it remains highly unlikely that the Broncos will trade the second overall pick. It's doubtful that a new collective bargaining agreement will be in place by April's NFL Draft. "If it stays like it's been there's no way anybody's trading," coach John Fox said. "You don't want to be up there a lot."

Two Teams Have Asked Cowboys About 9th Pick

Nov 17, 2014 4:20 AM

Two teams have inquired with the Cowboys about the 9th overall pick in next month's NFL Draft, according to owner Jerry Jones. "I've already had the opportunity to discuss and have been approached by two separate clubs," Jones said. "And not just a general 'Would you take who? Would you be interested?' Because they know you wouldn't be doing your job if you wouldn't be interested in looking at any opportunity you might have regarding a draft pick or a trade." Dallas executive vice president Stephen Jones has said the team has to get the best player available at No. 9. It remains to be seen if the Cowboys are serious about the possibility of trading the pick.

Eagles Have Been Offered First-Rounder For Kolb

Jul 7, 2014 6:54 PM

The Eagles have been offered a first-round draft pick for quarterback Kevin Kolb by at least one team, according to a league source. While Eagles president Joe Banner would not confirm the offer, he did say that there was a "more aggressive market" for Kolb than there was for Donovan McNabb last spring. "You can figure if there's a quarterback that a number of teams are interested in, you're going to end up with some meaningful compensation," Banner said. "You can kind of figure out what that means and speculate from there. That's the situation we're in."

Mike Brown: Palmer Will Not Be Traded

Nov 11, 2014 6:35 PM

Bengals president Mike Brown insists that the team is not going to trade quarterback Carson Palmer. "I haven't talked to any other team about him and I have no plans to trade him," Brown said of Palmer, who requested a deal back in January. Friends and acquaintances of Palmer have said that if he is not traded, he will retire after eight NFL seasons. Brown, though, said he will not be swayed even by a first-round draft pick. "I've seen any number of players who at one point did not want to re-enlist come back and come back and be quite happy about it," Brown said. "As far as getting value, I don't see any opportunity to get what I consider to be value. Having said that, it doesn't make sense to look to trade. It only makes sense to wait and hope Carson comes around."

Eagles Hoping Kolb's Value Will Increase

Mar 8, 2014 10:48 AM

The popular belief is that the Eagles will trade Kevin Kolb at some point and that they are waiting for his value to increase as teams scurry to find a quarterback. The league has suspended transactions during the current lockout and depending on when a new labor agreement is reached, teams may be left with little time to fill needs. Philadelphia dealt Donovan McNabb within the division a year ago and they aren't believed to be afraid of facing Kolb.
