The Jaguars are still interested in Chiefs quarterback Tyler Thigpen. Kansas City is open to trading Thigpen, according to NFL.com's Jason La Canfora. Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli is asking for a third round pick for Thigpen, which is believed to be an awful lot for a quarterback of his caliber. Jacksonville's best offer for Thigpen has included a fifth-rounder.

The Ravens and Jets are both interested in acquiring a receiver from the Eagles, who have a surplus of options. Reggie Brown is the most likely option to leave Philadelphia.

Roster cuts are coming in the NFL next week, which means that we should see can increase in trades. Adam Schefter of ESPN wrote on Wednesday that Tyler Thigpen, Luke McCown and A.J. Feeley could be available on the trade market. Teams must reduce their rosters to 75 players by Tuesday and 53 players by Sept. 5.

Broncos coach Josh McDaniels has acquired another one of his former players from the Patriots. Denver has dealt a late-round draft pick in 2010 to New England for backup offensive lineman Russ Hochstein, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Last week, the Broncos acquired defensive end Le Kevin Smith from the Patriots for another late-round pick in 2010.

The Dolphins have traded offensive linemen Ikechuku Ndukwe and Andy Alleman to the Chiefs. What Miami has received in exchange for the two players isn't yet known. The pair started a combined 20 games for the Dolphins last season when injuries created holes on their line. The Dolphins also terminated the contract of Ernest Wilford.

The Jets are looking for a wide receiver and both Brandon Marshall and Dwayne Bowe are on the team's radar. They have had preliminary discussions with a number of teams, sources told the New York Daily News. Marshall wants either a new contract or a trade from Denver.

The Broncos have acquired defensive end Le Kevin Smith from the Patriots for a draft pick. New England needed a fifth-round draft pick to send to Oakland to complete their recent trade for defensive end Derrick Burgess. "We're just trying to improve the football team in every way we can," Broncos coach Josh McDaniels told the Associated Press. "If there's a player at any position that could help us or we feel could improve our depth or talent, at any position, we would take a look at him. He certainly is a guy that we've evaluated and feel like he could fit what we're doing."

Rumors that the Jets are shopping running back Thomas Jones are untrue, according to a source close to the team. Jones, who led the AFC in rushing last season, is unhappy with his contract and missed most of New York's offseason workouts. Leon Washington is also looking for a new deal from the Jets, which could complicate things for Jones.
