Ravens quarterback Troy Smith has asked the team to trade him.
"Ravens QB Troy Smith, Ohio State alum, native + Heisman winner wants playing time," agent Ralph Cindrich wrote on his Twitter page Monday. "Ravens notified. Will seek trade after play offs, SB run."
Baltimore selected Smith with a fifth round pick in 2007.
After Steve McNair retired, Smith competed with Kyle Boller and Joe Flacco for the starting job.

Eagles Unlikely To Trade Vick
Adam Schefter of ESPN wrote on Friday that the Eagles are unlikely to trade quarterback Michael Vick this coming offseason.
Schefter adds that there isn't likely to be a lot of interest in Vick, who hasn't had as big of an impact in Philadelphia as expected in 2009.
