C.J. Spiller Agrees To Sign With Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks have agreed to a deal with C.J. Spiller.

Spiller has been a free agent after spending the 2015 season with the Saints.

The Seahawks are thin at running back following the retirement of Marshawn Lynch and the injury to Thomas Rawls.

Bears Sign Joique Bell

The Chicago Bears have agreed to sign Joique Bell.

With Jeremy Langford injuring his ankle in Week 3 and expected to miss 3-4 weeks, the Bears need depth at running back.

Bell joins a backfield including rookie Jordan Howard and Ka'Deem Carey, who missed Week 3 with a hamstring injury.

Bell struggled last season with Detroit, rushing 90 times for 311 yards and four touchdowns.

Bears Sign Matt Barkley From Practice Squad

The Chicago Bears have elevated Matt Barkley from the practice squad following Jay Cutler's right thumb sprain.

Barkley joined the Bears after being waived by the Arizona Cardinals this month.

In his career, Barkley has appeared in four games for the Eagles, completing 30 of 50 pass attempts for 300 yards and four interceptions.

Cutler is officially day-to-day, but he conceded that he had trouble gripping the football in Monday's loss.

San Diego lost Danny Woodhead to a torn ACL in Week 2.

McCluster makes sense for the Chargers because of his familiarity with the team's offensive scheme from his time with the Tennessee Titans when San Diego offensive coordinator Ken Whisenhunt served as that team's head coach.

The Green Bay Packers have signed left tackle David Bakhtiari to a four-year contract extension worth as much as $51.67 million.

The deal averages $12 million per season, which puts Bakhtiari among the five-highest paid offensive lineman.

Green Bay selected him in the fourth round of the 2013 draft and started him immediately.

Rob Ninkovich Signs One-Year Extension With Patriots

Rob Ninkovich has signed a one-year extension with the New England Patriots.

Ninkovich is serving a four-game suspension.

Asource said Ninkovich was appreciative of the team's willingness to strike the deal because he would have otherwise lost as much as $475,000 in base salary and bonuses.

Ninkovich received a $1.5 million signing bonus and gets a $1 million base salary in 2016 and a $1 million base salary in 2017 as well. He can earn an additional $1 million in bonuses in 2017.

The Detroit Lions have signed Theo Riddick to a three-year, $12.75 million contract extension.

Riddick is expected to split time in the backfield with second-year running back Ameer Abdullah.

The Lions use Riddick as a pass-catcher often. He had 80 receptions in 2015, more than double his total from 2014, for 697 yards and three touchdowns.
