Steelers Move Up $4M For Antonio Brown, Promise True Extension In 2017

Sep 1, 2016 11:48 AM

The Pittsburgh Steelers have restructured the contract of Antonio Brown, boosting his salary to $10.25 million this season.

According to the source, the Steelers moved up $4 million from next year to this year. No new years were added to his deal.

The Steelers are promising a true extension to Brown after the 2016 season.

Once an extension was out of the picture for 2016, Brown privately hoped the Steelers would use the same restructuring tactic as in 2015, when they moved up $2 million of Brown's future salary into a signing bonus.

Brown caught 136 passes for 1,834 yards and 10 touchdowns in 2015.

Giants Sign Randy Bullock

Aug 22, 2016 8:45 PM

Randy Bullock has signed with the New York Giants.

Bullock will fill-in for Josh Brown at kicker, who is suspended for Week 1 of the regular season. Brown's suspension comes from a domestic charge in 2015. Brown's ex-wife alleges over 20 physically violent incidents.

The signing puts Brown's future with the Giants in question.

The Giants worked out Bullock and Garrett Hartley on Monday after backup kicker Tom Obarski missed a 28-yard field goal on Saturday in Buffalo.

Travis Frederick Agrees To Six-Year, $56.4M Extension With Cowboys

Aug 16, 2016 8:26 AM

Travis Frederick and the Dallas Cowboys have agreed upon a six-year, $56.4 million extension with $28.2 million guaranteed.

Frederick has yet to sign the contract. He was in the locker room getting dressed for Saturday's preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams when the deal became finalized.

"Obviously there's risk involved any time you step out on the field, whether it's practice or a game, so to have the security of having it done before I stepped on the field in case anything happened was important," Frederick said. "But also because I wanted to have that behind me so I could really focus on football."

Frederick was a first round pick in 2013 and has not missed a start at center, being named to the Pro Bowl in each of the past two seasons.
