Jerod Mayo Agrees To Pay Cut With Patriots

Jerod Mayo has agreed to a pay cut to remain with the New England Patriots.

Mayo was scheduled to make a base salary of $6.25 million and now he's set to earn $4.5 million with a chance to make up to $6 million if he meets certain incentives.

Mayo suffered season-ending injuries in the sixth game of the season in each of the last two years.

Josh Gordy Signs One-Year Deal With Giants

The New York Giants have signed Josh Gordy to a one-year contract.

Gordy immediately becomes the only safety on their roster who has started an NFL game. He started nine of them for 2011 St. Louis Rams, whose head coach was current Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo. He then spent three years with the Colts almost exclusively as a backup and special teamer, playing in 43 games and starting just two from 2012-14.

Michael Crabtree Agrees To Deal With Raiders

Michael Crabtree has agreed to sign with the Oakland Raiders.

Crabtree's production waned last season and he appeared to lose explosion from a 2013 Achilles injury.

 

Crabtree, 27, was extremely non-committal about returning to the San Francisco 49ers at the end of the season.

Mike Pouncey Signs $50M Extension With Dolphins

Mike Pouncey and the Miami Dolphins have agreed upon a five-year, $50 million contract extension.

Pouncey will receive upward of $20 million in guarantees. The new contract makes Pouncey the NFL's richest center.

The 2011 first-round pick was set to play next season under the $7.4 million, fifth-year option attached to his rookie contract.

Saints Sign Anthony Spencer

Anthony Spencer has agreed to sign with the New Orleans Saints.

The eight-year pro had played his entire career with the Dallas Cowboys. Spencer had his best year under Saints defensive coordinator Rob Ryan when the two were with the Cowboys in 2012, tallying 11 sacks and 55 tackles.

Stevan Ridley Signs With Jets

Stevan Ridley has signed with the New York Jets.

Ridley's one-year contract with the Jets was finalized Wednesday.

 

"He's excited for the opportunity and his rehab is going strong at this point," Ridley's agent, Andy Simms, told The Associated Press.

Ridley, 26, only five months removed from major knee surgery, visited last week with the Jets. Ridley also met with Washington and the Miami Dolphins.

George Johnson has signed a three-year deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Johnson had six sacks last season with the Detroit Lions.

The Bucs are desperate for some pass rush help on the outside, while the Lions have to be concerned about a defensive line that has lost Suh and Nick Fairley.

John Sullivan has signed a contract extension with the Minnesota Vikings through the 2017 season.

Sullivan is the Vikings' center.
