The Cincinnati Bengals have signed Vontaze Burfict to a contract extension through 2017.

Burfict led the NFL in tackles in 2013 and was eligible for a new deal because he wasn't drafted.

It’s something born in him, you can’t coach a player to naturally react the way he does in all situations. This signing is a great move for the future of our defense.”

“It’s unusual to sign a player this early in his career to a contract extension, but Vontaze is a player who merits this,” executive vice president Katie Blackburn said. “He has proven to be an exceptional find for us, and we are happy to reward him now for his accomplishments. It’s good for him and good for our team.”

Jurrell Casey has signed a multi-year contract extension with the Tennessee Titans that keeps him under contract through 2018.

"We are excited to come to an agreement on an extension with Jurrell," general manager Ruston Webster said in a statement. "This is something Jurrell has earned not only with his play on the field but his work ethic as well. We appreciate Jurrell's professionalism through this process and look forward to many good years to come."

Casey's agent Drew Rosenhaus told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport that it's a four-year deal worth $36 million with $20.5 million guaranteed.

The defensive tackle was a Pro Bowl-snub last season after a 10.5-sack year with 55 tackles. As an under-the-radar beast, Casey epitomized an underrated Titans defensive unit in 2013.

Tommy Kelly has signed a one-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals.

The Cardinals have been searching for help on their defensive line following the ACL tear to Darnell Dockett.

Kelly tore his own ACL in 2013.

Kelly had 22 tackles and 2.5 sacks in five games last season before getting hurt last year.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Vontaze Burfict have agreed upon a four-year, $20 million deal.

Burfict will receive $7.6 million in 2014.

Burfict was an undrafted rookie in 2012 and has been a consistent performer at linebacker.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to sign Brett Keisel for a 13th season.

Keisel had been a free agent since March and had been hoping to eventually re-sign.

The Steelers have looked to become younger on the defensive line by signing Cam Thomas and using a second round pick on Stephon Tuitt.

Keisel turns 36 in September.

Marcus Gilbert has signed a five-year, $30 million extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Gilbert was a second round pick out of Florida in 2011.

Gilbert is the Steelers' starting right tackle.

Santonio Holmes has signed a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears while also cutting Eric Weems.

Homes did not look like his former self when on the field in 2013.

The Bears worked out Holmes earlier this month but instead signed Greg Herd at the time.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have signed Larry English.

English was the 16th overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers.

English was cut in July after failing to deliver on his promise as an outside linebacker.

In Lovie Smith's 4-3 scheme, English will move to defensive end and fight for playing time behind Adrian Clayborn and Michael Johnson.

Rex Grossman has signed with the Cleveland Browns.

Grossman will be reunited with offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan.

“Rex is excited to work with Kyle Shanahan again. This is a great fit for him,” agent Drew Rosenhaus said.
