The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to sign Everette Brown.

Brown was a 2009 second round pick out of Florida State by the Carolina Panthers.

Brown was with the San Diego Chargers in 2011, was cut by the Detroit Lions in 2012 and cut in late August by the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Baltimore Ravens have signed Bernard Scott.

Scott fills the Ravens' vacant roster spot that was left after their trade of Bryant McKinnie to the Miami Dolphins.

Scott was released by the Cincinnati Bengals this September after trying to come back from the injury. Cincinnati went with rookie running back Giovani Bernard instead.

The New England Patriots have signed Andre Carter.

Carter is a defensive end that was previously with played with the Patriots.

Carter had 10 sacks and was a Pro Bowl selection in 2011 with the Patriots and then signed with the Oakland Raiders.

Chris Greenwood turned down practice squad offers from three other teams to remain with the Detroit Lions.

The Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles and Seattle Seahawks expressed interest.

Greenwood was selected by the Lions in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft.

The New York Jets have agreed to sign Josh Cribbs.

Cribbs was a longtime return specialist with the Cleveland Browns.

Cribbs was in camp with the Oakland Raiders before the start of the season.

The Buffalo Bills will sign Matt Flynn.

Flynn was released by the Oakland Raiders last week.

E.J. Manuel is out for several more weeks.

David Garrard has rejoined the New York Jets and placed on the exempt list.

Garrard can attend practice and meetings during a two-week period when they decide whether or not to activate him.

Garrard left the team in the offseason due to recurring knee issues, but he is feeling better now.

"I'm sitting at home, watching games thinking, 'Why am I at home? Why I am doing this to myself? I didn't want to have any regrets one day."

Garrard was a legitimate contender to become the Jets' starting quarterback before he left the team, but will now be behind Geno Smith and Matt Simms on the depth chart.

The Minnesota Vikings have agreed to sign Josh Freeman on a one-year deal.

Freeman was released last week by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Buffalo Bills also pursued Freeman, who are without EJ Manuel for several weeks.

The Baltimore Ravens have released Brandon Stokley.

Tight end Billy Bajema has been signed to fill Stokley's roster spot.

Stokley had nine catches for 79 yards this season.

The New York Jets have claimed Zach Sudfeld off waivers.

Sudfeld looked good in training camp as a replacement for Aaron Herandez at tight end, but struggled in his four weeks with the New England Patriots.
