The Vikings have signed defensive lineman Jeff Charleston to a one-year deal, according to an ESPN.com report on Thursday.
The 29-year-old Charleston spent the past four seasons with the Saints serving as a backup.
The team released defensive tackle Terrell Resonno to make room for Charleston.
Patriots Re-Sign James Ihedigbo
The Patriots announced the re-signing of safety James Ihedigbo on Friday, according to an ESPN.com report
Ihedigbo, entering his sixth NFL season, played a surprisingly high total of defensive snaps last season for the Patriots (67 percent).
Lions Sign QB R.J. Archer From Arena League
The Lions have signed quarterback R.J. Archer and released wide receiver Troy Burrell, according to an ESPN.com report on Thursday.
Archer was cut as a rookie free agent by the Vikings two years ago. He plays for the Georgia Force in the Arena Football League.
QB Nathan Enderle Signs With Jaguars

Bears Sign Cory Brandon, Conelius Brown
The Bears signed T Cory Brandon and CB Cornelius Brown on Friday.
Brandon entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Buccaneers out of Oklahoma in 2011. The 6-7, 324-pound OL spent the 2011 preseason with the Buccaneers appearing in all four preseason contests as a reserve tackle but was waived on September 3.
Brown originally joined the Bears as an undrafted free agent in 2010 out of the U. of Texas-El Paso. He was waived by the Bears after the 2010 preseason and signed to the Colts practice squad. The 5-11, 198-pound CB was elevated to the Colts active roster in November of the 2010 season and appeared in 10 games with 16 tackles.
Brandon Johnson Signs With Steelers
The Steelers have signed former Bengals linebacker Brandon Johnson.
Johnson, 29, spent the last four seasons in Cincinnati, where he played 58 games -- including 12 starts -- recording a career-high 79 tackles in 2008.
Cardinals Sign Michael Floyd To Five-Year Deal
The Cardinals have signed first-round draft pick wide receiver Michael Floyd to a five-year contract.
Floyd was the 13th overall pick in the draft. He set Notre Dame career records in receptions (271), yards receiving (3,686) and touchdowns (37) in 43 games.
