UFL Virginia Hires Marty Schotteneimer

Marty Schottenheimer, sixth on the NFL's all-time coaching victories list, is heading to the UFL to be the coach/GM of the Virginia Destroyers, the league announced Wednesday. Schottenheimer, 67, has not coached since he was unceremoniously fired by the Chargers after a 14-2 season in 2006, primarily because of a dysfunctional relationship with GM A.J. Smith, according to an ESPN.com report.

Green Bay Re-Sign Charlie Peprah

The Packers have re-signed safety Charlie Peprah. Peprah played in 14 games for Green Bay in 2010, starting a career-high 11 contests at strong safety. He recorded career highs in tackles (64), interceptions (two) and passes defensed (seven). He led the team with 10 tackles in the Super Bowl.
