Jaguars Sign QB Luke McCown

The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Luke McCown to a one year contract, intending for him to back up David Garrard. McCown has spent the last two seasons with Jacksonville but only played in one game during 2010 after tearing a knee ligament in Week 2. Over his seven season career, McCown has played in 16 games, with seven starts. He has completed 154 of 260 passes for 1,739 yards, with nine touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

Routt Signs $31.5M Deal With Raiders

Stanford Routt has signed a three-year, $31.5 million deal to stay in Oakland and will be guaranteed $20 million over the first two years of the deal. "It's a great feeling to go back to a place you're familiar with and not have to deal with the 'unknowns' and 'uncertainties,' " Routt said in a statement. "But the work has just begun. We have a tough schedule this year. My parents always taught me 'finish what you start.' "

Steelers linebacker LaMarr Woodley signed his franchise tender, according to a team source. Woodley becomes the first player to sign a franchise tender this offseason. He made $550,000 last season, the final year of his rookie contract. But, because of the tag and his position, Woodley stands to make more than $10 million next season, if the Steelers don't sign him to a long-term contract.

Ronde Barbrer Returning For 15th Season

The Buccaneers have re-signed cornerback Ronde Barber to a one-year contract, keeping him in the NFL for a 15th season. A former third round pick of Tampa Bay and the twin brother of former Giants running back Tiki Barber, Ronde has been to five Pro Bowls. He has 40 career interceptions and 26 sacks.

The Bears have signed punter Richmond McGee to a two-year contract. McGee spent parts of last season on Chicago's practice squad, and he was with the Bears during the offseason and 2009 preseason, averaging 36.3 yards on four punts while landing two inside the 20.

Ravens Sign Brandon Jones

The Ravens have signed wide receiver Brandon Jones. Jones, 28, sat out last season after being released by the Seahawks during the final round of cuts. He's the seventh receiver on the roster whose rights are owned by the Ravens. His best season came in 2008 when he made 41 receptions for 449 yards and a touchdown. Jones had just one catch the following season in San Francisco before heading to Seattle.
